  1. Anyone want to guess the wire gauge of the "12V battery cable overlay" used to address No-Start condition?

Yeah, just re-crimping a new end on the existing cable seems like the way to go. I just ordered on Amazon a hydraulic crimper and an assortment box if "tinned" copper battery eyelet lugs. The faulty factory soldered eyelet appears to be a 3/8 (M10). Anyway... nevermind the question for the...
  2. Anyone want to guess the wire gauge of the "12V battery cable overlay" used to address No-Start condition?

In the last few days I joined the club of early hybrid owners suffering from the poorly soldered eyelet. Since my mileage puts me outside of warranty, I would assume I can not have TSP 22-2340 done free... So it's DIY for me. I have been using a jump box to get the Mav started... So I'm...
  3. Remember your first mini truck from back in the day?

1973 Chevy LUV. I abused the crap out of that thing!
  4. Ford Maverick Engineering Test Mode!!! [How to Enter]

I just figured it out on my non-luxury XLT: Doesn't matter if the door is open or closed or the seat belt is fastened or not... Just as long as the OK button on the steering wheel is held firmly before the key is inserted and turned to the ON position (2 clicks), but not to the START position...
  5. Ford Maverick Engineering Test Mode!!! [How to Enter]

I know this is an older post, but I was wondering if engineering test mode can be turned on for a (non-luxury) XLT. I tried to follow these directions, but no success.
  6. Headache rack, Backflip tonneau cover and TruXedo Elevate TS Rails -- installed photos & notes

Dang! I really like this... Getting more work out of our "Trucklettes". 👍 The headache rack looks a little tall for my taste but I completely see how well it works to keep the load off the stock antenna. Do you have any noticeable wind noise at highway speed from the headache rack when it's...
  7. Recommendation on front license plate holder

The bracket continues to work as expected. No movement or shifting. 20K miles on the Mav. Been thru many touchless car washes with out issue. Once pulled to over a high parking curb an heard it scrap... backed up and looked... no damage and had not shifted.
  8. Experienced "Stop Safely Now" issue on freeway

Thanks... I sent you VIN on a separate msg.
  9. Experienced "Stop Safely Now" issue on freeway

Almost exact same issue happened to me yesterday. Driving on the highway, and acceleration started surging, I tried to accelerate and got flashing triangle and display said stop safely now. Looked around under the hood (Ha!), check the oil check, checks temp gauge, smelled the engine bay...
  10. Recall 22S47 Pictures of work done - add yours if you want

Here's some pictures from Maverick chat: https://www.[banned site].com/threads/ford-maverick-safety-recall-22s47-under-hood-fire.2458/
  11. Hybrid Owners Electrical Issue poll

No, I have not had anything done yet... Thank you very much for the TSB information... I will follow up.
  12. Mileage for 1st oil change for Hybrid?

Mr overkill here: I dropped that green-ish breaking oil @ 1000mi, new full syn oil & new filter. 2nd change @ 5000mi, then all other changes @ 5000mi increments. I know, I know... Waste of money. (My cousin wants me to give him my "used" oil so he can put it in his old car... Ha! True.). I...
  13. Hybrid Owners Electrical Issue poll

Xlt received in January. 13,000 miles. No problems until yesterday... Deep sleep msg on Ford App, and Mav was dead (no power/dash lights). Jumped from my other vehicle and drove for about 30 minutes and seems okay. Only thing different is that in the last few days I have for the first time...
  14. Recommendation on front license plate holder

Yes, I did make a bracket out of the leftover rail I had after installing the DIY tie down rails in the bad, and a cheap license plate bracket. Right into the winching hole on the passenger side. It does *NOT* stick down as low as the little front air dam in front of the wheel, so, seems...
  15. Engine cover for 2.5L Hybrid Maverick?

Would enjoy seeing a underwood photo of your hybrid Mav with the cover installed... Full engine bay, not just close up of the cover.
  16. Should there be an engine cover?

Here is what you need for the hybrid... Also note, I believe you only need 1 nut, 1 bolt (double ended) and 2 plastic posts. https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/engine-cover-for-2-5l-hybrid-maverick.9979/
  17. My Maverick hauling a 13 foot kayak!

I am interested in your load extender bar in the hitch receiver. I have seen several on the market...which one is it? I'm not sure but it looks like there's something propped up under the kayak very close to the tailgate opening... Does that mean the load extender is NOT the same height as the...
  18. Backup camera did not turn off after shifting to Drive, then sharp loud heavy metallic clunk, after stopping and trying Reverse and Park.

Night before last I backed out of a parking spot and then when shifting to drive and going a few feet, I noticed the backup camera was still showing on the screen, so I stopped. I waited a few seconds then shifted to reverse and backed up a few feet then stopped for a few seconds then put it...
