I think in the Hybrid in Engineering Test mode it may be possible to test the Fake Ice noise revving.Don't forget to turn up the speakers or is that only on EcoBoost?

I failed to see the reasoning of why Harley riders always play with their throttle at the stoplights........unless????Not really a practical/quick way to "rev" at the girls with a hybrid. That's why I also have two Harleys that "rev" any time I want![]()
You are right!!! It's because that's what's in their ____.I failed to see the reasoning of why Harley riders always play with their throttle at the stoplights........unless????
Having ridden Honda's and Suzuki's never found the need to tweak the throttle constantly. They always idled fine.
Maybe the the vibration gives them a nice "buzz".I failed to see the reasoning of why Harley riders always play with their throttle at the stoplights........unless????

Ha ha, ain't it the truth?!?! In the days when 2-cycle bikes were more common the pilot had to blip the throttle to keep the cylinders from loading up w/ excess oil. Bikes that aren't/weren't well-tuned needed to be blipped to stay running. A modern 4-cycle motorcycle engine in good condition and good tune absolutely does not need to be blipped. That falls into the realm of habit or some form of "look at me" plea. (No worries I'll put on my flameproof jacket before hitting Post reply.)I failed to see the reasoning of why Harley riders always play with their throttle at the stoplights........unless????
You’ll want the eco boost for stoplight challengesMakes it difficult to challenge someone at a stoplight, huh?
I'm a bit old and, might I say, mature for that anyway. You’ll want the eco boost for stoplight challenges
But it preserves the element of surprise!Makes it difficult to challenge someone at a stoplight, huh?

I *knew* there had to be a technical term for that!the pilot had to blip the throttle

The ricers usually make me think of one of the very few Shakespearean references I know: Much ado about nothing. But it preserves the element of surprise!
about 40 years ago, driving my Impala 400 college car, little ricers in the next two lanes were revving there engines at one another to race.
When the light turned, I casually passed the pair of racers without going anywhere near full throttle, or even heavy throttle.
The look on their faces was priceless!
I *knew* there had to be a technical term for that!

Glen....it is strictly an "I've got a Harley" thing. Some of the crotch rockets will do it too...but not as much as a Harley rider wearing a black leather vest....![]()
It’s the Harley rider saying, “Hey baby, look at me look at me, Imma bad azz”I failed to see the reasoning of why Harley riders always play with their throttle at the stoplights........unless????
just push the pedal to the floor and then let off. It’ll activate the IC engine. Don’t expect much though.Sorry if this has been asked before, but I have searched for an answer and can't find one.
I was sitting in PARK the other day with the ICE running - I had just started the truck and it was warming up coolant and/or charging the HV battery. I gave the pedal a little push to hear what the engine sounded like revving and nothing happened. It seems like the only way to "give it gas" is when you are in gear and want to accelerate . I don't necessarily have a need to increase RPM when I am standing still, but there might be times when I want to hear a little vroom-vroom. Is there a way to do this that I have not figured out yet?
Want to play at the red light! Reach down and set your ride to Sport Mode. When the lights change press down on your accelerator and enjoy your Maverick’s hidden Pony Power off the line.Makes it difficult to challenge someone at a stoplight, huh?
