I recently installed a Nilight rear taillight strip. When plugged into hitch receiver plug, the vehicle automatically senses a trailer attached and cuts off all sensors.

is there a way to avoid this so the light works but doesn’t turn sensors off?

OPT-7 also offers plug and play harness options I’m still waiting on a complete light bar option with this harness, light bar and magnetic mounting I’m expecting to get this on Monday - I will post what they send me this will address the towing conflict

I just installed one and had the same experience. I had to have a shop connect the strip to the lighting wiring with a separate wiring harness. It now works great but cost me more to have that done than I would have wanted.

I'm interested in this, but everything I see from them only supports the Mavericks without BLIS

I had heard of this happening.
Thank you for posting and verifying it activating trailer tow mode and deactivating the cross traffic sensors.
Take Care

I bought a receiver-mounted LED but the standard 4-pin trailer connector results in it blinking when a turn signal is on and brakes are off, which could confuse some drivers. I have plans to connect it to the tail & high-mount brake circuits independently of the 4-pin trailer connector, but for now this remains on my to-do list at low priority. The high-mount circuit should be accessible behind the rear seat on the passenger side, as a Yellow-Gray wire in the harness. Tail/Parking lights signals are plentiful back by the tail lights.

Hi, Walt here modding my 2025 Maverick Lariat Hybrid AWD w/4K tow. My solution for a Low Mount Stop Light is to add an aftermarket red LED light strip to my aftermarket step bumper inserted in the reciever. All I do is add a trailer connector to the wiring and plug into the 4way trailer connector. Done! Keeps bumper sniffers at bay too!

That won’t work, read the OP’s post, that activates trailer tow mode, deactivates BLIS.

Too many acronyms. Have no idea what those are.

Hello,
I have 2024 Lariat Hybrid with 2K tow.
I installed this back in November and has worked great.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DG5GH5B5?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
OPT7 Easy Connect Harness for 2022-2024 Maverick 2.0L EcoBoost Without BLIS (Blind Spot/Backup Camera/Tow Assist Sensor), Compatible with Redline LED Tailgate Light Bar (Not for 2.5L Hybrid Engine)

I also ordered Nilight single LED Taillight strip and works great.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0841K5FJB?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1
Nilight 48”/49” LED Tailgate Light Strip 90 LED Red/White for Running Light Brake / Turn Signal / Reverse Light,2 Years Warranty

Just recently I had 3 LED's go out on this so I was trying to get another brand that had amber turn signals and that has not been working out. The 1st one disable my left taillight assembly while hooked up and upon unhooking it and restarting the vehicle the taillight assembly started working again. (This was an expensive OPT7 LED strip would have been nice).
I then tried another cheaper one with amber turns and this one disabled both taillight assemblies while hooked up, again after unhooking and hooking the Nilight back in and turning the truck on and off the taillights worked properly. I have given up trying to find ones with the amber turn signals I think that is what is causing the problem.
I am now waiting for Nilight to respond back to me for a warranty replacement for the LED's that are out and I will stick with the all red LED bar as it works good and looks good (when all LEDs are working). Hope this helps some people out.

I've been mulling this over in my mind & wondering.....

I know that other members have mentioned this adapter that was/is on ebay:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/176405855804

would, perhaps, something like this (can't recall if this is for the front lights or the rears), possibly be a solution for adding a taillight to the back of our mavs?

even if this is for the front, I'm certain that with the right connectors & a bit of wire, I could rig up something that would allow tapping into the factory wiring without actually having to tap the factory wires....think a pair of plugs with 6" of wire between..simple to t-tap into the 6" extensions without havint to worry about damaging the factory wiring & still be able to "scab in" wiring for certain accessories. May even work for adding aux. backup lights or perhaps something else tied in to factory wiring functions.

I've got a good selection of DT pins, not sure those would work for these connectors, but there's gotta be someone that knows the male & female part numbers for the taillight connectors...

You mean like this? I made this to tap-in a reverse light wire. I'm on the road this week, if you can wait until next weekend I'll get you the part #'s.

I think so? but in all honesty, I'm not 100% sure
the pigtail in the front looks like what I"m thinking in my mind, but the other part, with the 7 pin might be what's throwing me
still wondering if my idea will work with my truck if it ever gets built..what with the BLIS on it & such..guess there's no way to tell for sure until I try it

so basically, the pigtail in front just "extends" the factory harness to the taillight, giving more "real estate" in which to attach additional wires?

Pay no attention to the 7-pin USCAR harness, the 6" extension in front (with the extra blue wire), with its' 6-pin connectors, is what is used on the Maverick taillights.
