I, too, was one of those "the more chips, the better" guys..then, I happend to watch a video on youtube from, I think, headlight revolution that explains, in great detail, what makes a GOOD led bulb & surprisingly enough, I'd been mistaken. quite informative, actually, with respect to placement...

Front or rear lights with an optional red backlight. The attached image is of the same brand and model oflights, only with the amber backlight that I have installed on the front of my truck. Using the red back lighting on the front of your vehicle is probably illegal in most states.
