Do you get comments on the street about your Maverick?

I get asked about my Maverick all the time, now that I put this custom bumper sticker on it.

But I have had a few people ask about it since I got it in December.

So many Mavericks around me. They are common here.

I have gotten several comments about the color.
I chose, ‘Hot Pepper Red’
Mines a 2024 bought on 12/31/24. I see more than a dozen regularly but as far as I can tell and from what others have said I have the only HPR paint job in my area.

Besides neighbors/family I had one guy who was driving an old Jeep Cherokee ask me about it shortly after I had bought it. He was looking to buy one and wanted to know how I liked it and the mileage I was getting. But that was about a year ago when they were hard to find at dealer lots. I see lots of them driving around now and they seem to be available at every Ford dealer now.

When we lived in Vegas. We live next door to a metro cop. He told me never ever to talk to a cop.

If the cop told you never to talk to a cop because they always lie, then he was lying when he told you that. Logic dictates you should talk to cops because they never lie.

I have had a delivery guy ask about mine. Before I got mine, I was one of those pesky old people that came up to a guy in the parking lot of Home Depot and asked about his Maverick….I also offered to help load some windows he bought.

Maybe so but saying hi or having a random conversation like you would anyone else isnt interrogation when they are walking around in public. They are regular people. I work with many. Some I dont particularly care for and some are outside on their own time working food banks outside in 10 degree weather. Its not the profession its the person and their choices that make them what they are.

I talked to my neighbor who was a cop all of the time. And I also interacted with the local PD often because my dad had a tow company that towed for them.

I've owned my Maverick since June 2023 and I haven't had anyone ask me about it or comment on it yet.

It's kinda funny, hearing about getting comments a year or 2 ago.

When I was one of the first hybrid Maverick drivers around here, I was getting coal rolled, and literally ran off the road by countless oversized trucks on my commute into town.

Hasn't happened for a while, now that I see several Mavericks every day...

Couple nice remarks about how it looks, and good impressions from the hybrid fuel economy + it driving like a typical crossover.

It's kinda funny that when I was growing up in rural Nebraska (age 41 now), when Ford came out with the Explorer Sport Trac, someone in town bought one and it was the target of almost constant jokes. I'm sure the same people would roast this pickup too, even though it makes about 10000% more sense than an F-150 for just getting around and hauling small loads.
