I feel like I’m in the same boat, I have one ordered scheduled to build end of Feb. if they tariff the trucks I don’t want to eat that cost and have started looking at all the dealers in KC to find out if anyone has one in stock.

This is the biggest thing I want to know is if tarrifs get added to these trucks, is it those that havent entered the country yet? Or any that hasn't been sold? The lariat that I ordered is sitting in the railyard 15 minutes from me and probably won't be delivered for another week. There's a XLT that I could buy today with the Lux Package and co pilot. I'd rather have the Larait, but if tarrifs get involved then i'm fine with the XLT

Maybe, I can't understand why people buy those though. Fake leather and useless cameras with the same engine and bed!

There's a lot more then fake leather, and cameras with a Lariat, like safety features! and comfort. With the Maverick, you can order one with basic transportation, (like the one you want) or fully blown out, like mine!

What safety features? Cameras serve no practical use, and the improved copilot is much less of a change than past years! Most is built in.

They can't. But some unscrupulous dealers might try anyway and pocket it.

You will not be affected by the tariffs. You are price protected once you sign your sales agreement with your dealer (unless your dealer is "dishonest").

I think the big worry is those dishonest dealers. We all know there's still plenty out there and some are hard to avoid is you didn't know ahead of time. It's hard to place a car order, wait three months, then walk out. And they know it.

I can see wanting to avoid cloth because of stains or damage. As not-durable as the pleather might be, it's still likely more durable than cloth would be.

Personally I didn't care. I prefer cloth but not enough to worry, and to get the ACC i have to put up with the pleather. I can always get a supplemental seat cover with a fan system if it gets too sticky. And so far it is pretty comfortable.

Do an apples to apples comparison, the Ranger is $10K more.

The Tremor is $43k and I think the Lariat is around $37k. A 4x4 Ranger can be bought for less than that. XL starts at $36k and XLT at $39k.

Different types of vehicles sure, but not by much all things considered in the cost. And I'm pretty sure they get around the same MPG too. Not bad for an on frame mid size truck to make a Maverick Tremor look almost pointless unless it's your preference. Granted, the Lariat Maverick gets much better mpg once you go hybrid and that's a major factor for some, but doing the math if your goal is saving pennies, debatable in how long that effort pays off.

I'm not trying to sell a Ranger personally I don't like them, but there are options.

Not sure what your last car had, but I have many features on my Maverick that I didn't have on my 2015 Hyundai Sonata. The Lux package on the Lariat lists lots of things not available in 2015.

A decade later, so of course it would. All that stuff is on basic cars now, and the normal XLT is sufficient. Terrible value and ugly wheels!
