here's are pics of what I saw on fb truck group.
my friend ordered his last Thursday January 25th (when dealer ordered it), but he didnt get an email til today for order confirmed, is he price protected? id imagine when dealer submitted, is when he is honored/priced in.

He would be protected as per that last sentence. It simply has to be signed by the dealer before January 26 and Ford needed to receive it before tomorrow. Given he signed it on January 25 and Ford acknowledged it today, the price protection stands.

The dealer invoice price is protected. The window sticker will go up, though.
It is up to the dealer whether they honor price protection or not. Something to find out from the dealer now, instead of waiting till delivery day, when the customer signs the papers.

I hope this is not a surprise for anyone. It’s just business in a competitive market.

Does ford do many competitive price bumps often?
I think we saw two bumps in one year. But I would say about once a quarter there are adjustments to prices. Whether they include the Maverick will depend on if it is warranted. Some of this is simply passthrough. Headlight guy is charging Ford more and Ford is simply adding that to the sticker.

Not trying to be a negative Nelson but does anyone think that Ford is dangerously close to pricing the Maverick out of the market? I mean, at this point, for a few thousand more one could get a 4x4 Ranger. Personally I like my Maverick and wouldn’t change my choice but it seems like Ford is competing with themselves

maybe a lot of people are buying lariat's, and they feel its underpriced. not missing out on a small price increase.

Maybe, I can't understand why people buy those though. Fake leather and useless cameras with the same engine and bed!

>.> I dont want cloth seats regardless. whether its vinyl or leather, I cant stand cloth, so it was a must for me, the other stuff is just a bonus. havnt had cloth in a vehicle in like 15 years being able to just wipe clean a seat is nice, no worries about liquor or sweat penetrating and getting gross.

I am the opposite, live in a cold place and hate cold leather! Also could never justify an extra 5k+ for leather myself, but everyone has different spending habits.

Too many. I'd bet the Maverick has had close to a dozen prices increases since introduction in 2021.

However, they own the compact pickup market so they can do whatever they want until someone enters the fray and up until this point in time no one seems willing to do that.
