looks like same 35hz high pass on the 6x9 sub which is not surprising.

big hole in the mid-range looks like 300 to 600hz

I think that midrange hole is a vehicle and speaker placement issue. I have a similar dip with an Audison tuned DSP setup in my 23 with Hertz cento pro components up front.

My 24’ Eco AWD Lariat’s B&O
System is crisp, clean, has plenty of base and power.
It is many times better than my 2021 Bronco Sport base’s system.
I will say, It looks like a fairly simple task to swap the stock sub woofer for an even tighter more efficient base speaker.

What does this show? And why do you not use wire, Bluetooth is bad for audio correct

The RTA curve shows the frequency response of the audio in the vehicle. This shows that B&O got it pretty close to the standard harman audio listening curve (minus that dip at 300-600hz).

I actually tied using a USB stick with the file, but the sync system would not show it as a source. If I plug the phone via USB, it automatically goes to Android Auto, and Bluetooth and Android Auto are fairly similar (both worse than wired).

Is that a good thing? Is Harmon a brand or a standard in audio tuning or something

My buddy works in the service department at the local Ford dealer less than a mile from my house, I was rained out today and all this talk of how wonderful the 25s sound just had me curious.

So my buddy and I sat in a new 25 lariat, I put my USB thumb drive in and listened to a few songs we cranked the radio and adjusted the settings and it does not sound any better than previous years.

Then we went to lunch in my 24 with all upgraded speakers and a 10-in shallow mount sub. He commented it's too bad there's not a Ford on the market that sounds like that from the factory.

I've been pleasantly surprised at the stock sound system in my '25 XLT that I picked up this week! It's not QUITE as good as the Fender system I had in my previous car (2013 VW GTI), but that system was pretty phenomenal for its time.

I did test drive a '22 XLT a year ago, and that system was really bad by comparison. My '25 is totally livable, though I may still decide to add a sub down the road.

I've done my fair share of audio upgrades over the years, and I suspect that 90% of the change is related to the new hardware running Sync 4 and processing in the software. The speakers might have changed, but the system definitely has more power than what I experienced in that '22.

I am disappointed in the lack of an actual multi-band equalizer, though. I feel like with some tuning, I could get the stock system from "pretty good" to "hey, I like this!"

My 25 xlt sounds much better with more bass than my 22 XLT did. Also no doors rattling when you turn up the volume!
Mine too, but I was thinking just because its new, everthing is better. But maybe not.

I had not heard of speaker upgrades in the non-Lariat/tremor/Lobo models

looks like a typo that should've been 'human'.
The "Harman Curve" is the product of research by Harman Kardon audio company on the preferred frequency response curve of average listeners.

LOL, that is absolutely not true. New oftentimes means WORSE since companies are expected to keep costs down and they’re willing to sacrifice quality. In todays world, customer feedback continues to show that people prefer big screens over audio quality. In other words, they’ll lose a lot of customers if there isn’t a big screen, but they won’t lose a lot of customers if the audio sucks.

As an example, I owned a 2013 Hyundai Elantra entry trim. The sound was actually excellent. I couldn’t believe the fullness and warmth and loudness. Fast forward 6 years later when I ā€œupgradedā€ to the 2019 model. Worst…sound…ever. It was actually so bad that I often turned the radio off because it hurt my ears. It was metallic sounding and had zero mid-range even when you adjusted the EQ. This taught me a lesson that newer isn’t always better.

But in the case of 2025 Mavericks, they do sound better to me than prior years.
