Female vocals, horns, violins etc. Upper midrange sounds. Changing the midrange or treble controls do not fix the problem. It is not the speaker because I tried another good 8 ohm speaker and it does the same thing. Bass is clear and rear pillar speakers are clear also.

I suspect the head unit because the amplifier is not used on the center speaker.

you opened a similar thread 7 weeks ago.

did you have a Ford dealership look at it? it's probably a bad sync3 acm. I am not sure how they test for that but since you replaced the center speaker and the issue persisted I think the sync3 module is next and I assume you would want it replaced under warranty rather than buy one and try replacing it also.

Absolutely no problem at all with mine.

Are you playing at "concert level loud" or "easy listening level"?

I play mine at "easy listening level" as I don't feel a need to have everyone and their brothers and sisters on the streets to hear my music.

The louder you play, the more distortion you'll get, plus you're taking a chance to blow out your speakers.

I had this very issue immediately when my 2022 Hybrid Lariat was new. I took it to the dealership when it was about 3 months old and they confirmed that the center speaker was bad. They ordered a new speaker and installed it during a subsequent service appointment.

you have some points there, but when it's all working properly and the bass tone control is set reasonably (level or minus a few notches - definitely NOT full + ), the Maverick's B&O system can play to max volume 30 without audible distortion. it has clipping detection.

so, should a person play it at 30, maybe not at all and probably not routinely.

but *can* the B&O play at 30, yes. something is wrong with the original poster's system. it may not be the speaker since he tried replacing it.

I don't know if this of any help, given that I have a '23 hybrid XLT with the standard sound system, but I have also had an on-again off-again issue with a low-pitched buzz showing up in the subwoofer. I'd take it in to the dealership only to have it working fine. The problem seems to be with the Sync3 operating system as I have found that resetting the radio takes the sound away. (Hold down the volume button and the >>| button at the same time for several seconds until the screen goes off.). While it works, the problem seems to be appearing more and more often so I'm wondering if it has to be replaced.
