Wondering if 25% of the people on this forum are female and if 25% are between the ages of 18-35?
I am the old guy outlier I guess. Along with a whole bunch of other dudes!
They are mostly on Reddit. I am 32 male, mostly on that forum. I do scroll reddit everyone in a while.Wondering if 25% of the people on this forum are female and if 25% are between the ages of 18-35?

What do you mean wait for it? I had my truck in under an hour and a half...The younger folks probably won't want this truck because they have to WAIT FOR IT. In the mean time, they can go out and buy the latest iphone13, which will be obsolete in three months before the 14 comes out...
Younger generation is all about instant gratification.
Golly gosh yes, those danged whippersnappers! You know, when I was young the older folks said there was absolutely nothing wrong with my generation! The younger folks probably won't want this truck because they have to WAIT FOR IT. GenXer here... Think... Limp Bizkit “My Generation” sums it all up!... The Mav is more than ample for this aging middle aged man that works and lives out of his truck.I'm at the end of the 18 to 35 age group. This will be first new vehicle and first ford. Price to buy and price to operate were a big factor. I wanted a truck bed for weekend warrior stuff and my rental properties. It's a bonus that it can fit people in the back. . .
The ford maverick has created a new segment and its all by itself. I hope Ford is thinking about doubling production. I don't think demand will slow down if price stays competitive.
While it does say just the opposite, how many car manufacturers aim for a younger crowd, but somehow attract the complete opposite demographic?Golly gosh yes, those danged whippersnappers! You know, when I was young the older folks said there was absolutely nothing wrong with my generation!
Seriously... your complaint about young folks is based on the idea that they won't want this truck.
Doesn't the article say just the opposite?
That's the feature not the bug. Older buyers in their primes with money will see the commercials with young and fit people. They will think the vehicle will make them that way too. And if Ford manages to actually attract the "target demo?" Win-Win. Also they are advertising for Ford as brand more than the maverick itself. If young people saving up cash now see commercials with people like themselves they will go buy higher margin f-150s later. While it does say just the opposite, how many car manufacturers aim for a younger crowd, but somehow attract the complete opposite demographic?
I dunno, usually I notice more of the white haired folks whinging about the wait and expecting Ford to be constantly updating them. The younger folks probably won't want this truck because they have to WAIT FOR IT. In the mean time, they can go out and buy the latest iphone13, which will be obsolete in three months before the 14 comes out...
