I believe that if the fob remains stationary for one full minute communication with fob ceases until door is opened or unlocked with key pad or fob. If truck is double locked with keypad, door ridges, or fob the delay off items are turned off within 2 seconds EXCEPT the front cigarette style power point and 12v at rear of truck which will remain powered up if anything is on and plugged in for up to 90 minutes or the 12volt drops below 12.1 volts. If you are moving near the truck while carrying the fob the truck may start the get ready to drive process so it's a good idea to double lock the truck even in your garage so it will not watch the fob. Ford does say to not leave fob in truck doesn't say why but may be only for anti theft protection but who knows what may work differently. No, I leave it in the vehicle. Is that an issue? Why would it keep clicking after that?
