well I have had my 23 Hybrid now for 15 months and 20K miles and no issues
Exactly the same experience. Down to the months & miles.

I do put my truck on a battery tender periodically. But it's not the first vehicle I've done this on. I prefer 12v vehicle batteries to last many years - usually between 5 & 8 yrs.

... Unless the ’25s have a fix for the problem, I'm considering bailing out of the deal...
Your choice to walk from your order. But Ford is working on a software fix for the BMS issue and is supposed to be available this quarter.

I have a 24 and yes, it has the 12v issue, but it has always started the truck. I have a 15 minute commute on surface roads, so my truck does not get driven long. I have put it on a charger a few times but honestly it only helps for a day or so and its right back to being barely adequate.

Other than not being able to use the Ford app it has not affected my use or enjoyment of the truck so I can't understand why you would sell and hold a grudge against Ford?

If Ford does not fix the issue as a recall (or customer satisfaction program) and if it gets to the point of needing a new battery where the only option from Ford is a new flooded cell battery I will politely pass and put in my own AGM and move on.
I do short trips, got a small solar panel for my 2021 Bronco Sport. That worked.
1st wet battery lasted 17 months, still past the load test but I made Ford give me a fresh one.
I traded it 43 months later with no battery troubles ever.
Was it the occasional trickle charge?
Was it a fresher battery to start with?
I have not a clue.

As a prospective Mav owner, it pains me to see that Ford is still having 12V battery problems. I=My first new vehicle was a 1993 Ranger. A few weeks after getting it, I went out in the AM to go to work. The Ranger was stone cold dead. The battery would not take a charge. AAA took it to the dealer and they replaced the battery and sent me on my way. A month or so later, same thing. Came out in the AM to s stone cold dead battery that would not take a charge. Repeat the process. Ford now says they are aware of a problem and there is a TSB that covers it, AKA replace the battery. Fine for 12 months or 12K miles lol. Never solved the issue, washed their hands of it after warranty. I always had a new battery in the back seat after that.

As a prospective Mav owner...
[Oops, I meant to reply to richard a winkler]

It's not just a Ford problem. Many newer vehicles tend to be more demanding on the 12V battery. My 2008 Saturn Vue went through a few batteries, and I had to use a charger (quick start setting) almost weekly to get it out of the garage and I often trickle charged it to full. I had picked up a jump box a few months before the delivery of my truck and in that time, I used it 3-4 times to get my Saturn going in the morning (usually after 2 days of being parked).

I will fault Ford on putting a small, flooded cell battery into these trucks as opposed to a little larger AGM. This one has bit them in the butt with all the replacement batteries they are putting in under warranty!

Don't buy Ford products. Honda and Toyota are the only reliable brands. I learned the hard way.
I have ordered a 2025 Maverick. My 10 year old HR-V has never had any mfr related issues. Honda reliability in those days was excellent. These days I've seen large recalls for Honda vehicles. I guess it's a sign of the times.

You drive a Ford, and are extolling how great Honda and Toyota are. You clearly have not driven a Honda or Toyota built in the last 10 years, have you? Give your head a shake.

23 months, 29,000 miles and an occasional "remote features disabled" message. No problems whatsoever with the car in that time.

I bought a new Ford Maverick and I would go out and it wouldn't start. I would take it to the dealer, they would mess with, I would take it back and it wouldn't start. I did that several times, finally I got rid of it. Before that I had three Honda CRVs that I drove each for 250,000 with no trouble. I do not drive a Ford anymore and will never drive one again.

Get a Ford Maverick and deal with 12v battery issues and a backup camera recall. Get a Toyota Tundra and you find yourself needing an engine replacement. Let me think for a second....yep, I think I'll stick with the Mav.

So why are you bitching on a Ford-only site? I will repeat: you have not driven a fairly-recent Honda or Toyota have you? Ford quality is superior today.

I bought a 2002 Toyota Tundra. It has 185,000 miles on it and runs perfectly to this day. The Ford Maverick I bought, 2024, would never start. Got rid of it.

I am bitching on a Ford only site because it cost me eight K to get rid of it and Ford continues to sell this junk. I traded my Honda to get the lemon Maverick. I think this is a company propaganda site from the way you talk. I am done with it.
