Roof Top Racks
Yakima offers a roof rack for the cab rooftop with integrated cross bars. Here is that information for your reference:
BaseLine FX System Integrated CrossBar System for Naked Roof Vehicles
SKU: #baseline-fx-system BaseLine FX System – Yakima
(You still need the BaseClip 180 specified below to use these)
(The SKU contains one bar. Thus, you need to order two of these if you want a pair of crossbars).
I will list that item below for people that like that approach. I, however, have round bars in various lengths and many attachments to go with them. Thus, I chose the BaseLine towers.
BaseLine Towers (Set of Four) Roof Rack Tower for Vehicles with Naked Roofs SKU: #8000162
BaseLine Towers (Set of Four) – Yakima
(Note that the JetStream Bars might not require adapters; I have no experience with these).
I used the RoundBar and needed SL Adapters for the Towers.
RoundBar SL Adapter - Yakima
If they use the HD Bars, then use these SL Adapters.
HD BAR SL Adapter (Attach Streamline Towers to HD CrossBars) SKU: #8003541
HD BAR SL Adapter - Yakima
The clips come in two packs. Thus, I needed two of the following clips:
BaseClip Clips for BaseLine Towers SKU: #8006180
BaseClip 180 (B85-5) – Yakima
Summary:
Here are the measurement details from fitlookup.yakima.com (in the installation manual which you can find here).

Here are some pictures taken during various points in the installation.
A.R.E. MX-series Topper with rails
I ordered my A.R.E. shell with just the rails since I already had most of the Yakima rack items. I needed to add three components: 1) The TrackTowers, 2) The bar adapters, and 3) The Landing Pads.
TrackTowers (4-pack) For Vehicles with Tracks SKU: #8000199
TrackTower (4-pack) – Yakima
In my case, I needed the round bar adapters:
RoundBar SL Adapter (Attach Streamline Towers to RoundBar) SKU: #8003536
RoundBar SL Adapter – Yakima
Other adapters for your information:
HD BAR SL Adapter (Attach Streamline Towers to HD CrossBars) SKU: #8003541
HD BAR SL Adapter - Yakima
Note that these TrackTowers don’t seem to have Adapters for the JetStream or CoreBar – they might not require an adapter to work.
The Landing Pads can get tricky. I recommend contacting Yakima or a Yakima dealer to get the proper fit. In my case, I needed LandingPad 1 - Landing Pad SKU: #8000221
LandingPad - Yakima

The BaseLine Towers are a little bit tricky to use the first time. Here are some hints and suggestions
- The plastic covers come off by squeezing both sides at the top and pulling towards you. The plastic cover rotates down before being able to pull it off.
- There is a small gray rectangular handle to pull out. Pulling out the handle exposes the Allen wrench adjustment screw for the RoundBar SL Adapters on the bottom of the tower.
- Installing the RoundBar SL Adapters requires snapping in the rectangular piece, set the round bar adapter on the adjustment screw, turn the tower over, and use the Allen wrench to begin threading the adjustment screw. You don’t need to go very far since you still need to install the round bar before tightening the adjustment screw.
- The fitlookup.yakima.com measurements don’t have measurements for the Maverick. The Maverick car dimensions are there instead. Use my measurements above.
- The rubber footing on the BaseLine Tower is designed to rest on the raised area next to the door. It should be snug. If it isn’t, the BaseLine Towers are too far apart on the RoundBar.
