Thanks for the hitch write-up, great detail. Just got the fascia removed, but 4 retaining clips popped off and I'm not sure from where? Anyone know where they came from?

Any help on the install of the wiring? Planning to do this myself this weekend.Hello Maverick members!
Posting another option for a custom Hitch. Of course I recommend to buy yours with the factory one, but for those who did not, here is the story:
-Paid $150 to a local machine shop (with my drawings) + Hitch tube ($18) + Connector ($16) from Amazon
-3/16" steel
-(4) 304 SS 1/2" Bolts with Lock Nuts ($20)
-Rated at 3,540 lbs. with a 4x Safety Factor
-3 hrs. installation time
Any help always welcome! Thanks!Any help on the install of the wiring? Planning to do this myself this weekend.
@riveraca @aaustinbrown Can you be more specific on what you need help with, is it routing of wire, or did your kits not come with instructions?Any help always welcome! Thanks!
I ordered the Tekonsha Trailer Hitch Wiring from ebay. Seems plug & play for Maverick. Just battery and ground, all other connections with factory style connectors!
Thank you! Kit came with instructions and it was basically a plug-in system! I installed it last weekend in less than an hour. So at this point all done!@riveraca @aaustinbrown Can you be more specific on what you need help with, is it routing of wire, or did your kits not come with instructions?
Seems like a lot of work but that looks far better than anything else I've seen.Hello Maverick members!
Width is 2 inches. I added 1/16" clearance for easy installation. Removal of the crash bar was not necessary but removing the bumper fascia took 30 mins.Seems like a lot of work but that looks far better than anything else I've seen.
How wide is the rear crash bar in the 'sandwich' direction?
@Adospeed I have the same question. Could you share your knowledge again? Thank you.Check your messages...
Dude Nice, now if I can just get my stick welder out of the garage.DYI this hitch is not that complicated. If you take off the plastic and the bumper
Cut the two pieces off the top of this and bolt it to the crash bar that's already there without taking it off.
The crash bar and hitch are the same material thickness etc. one just has the hitch welded to it.

Very nice workmanship & design, but can I ask how you arrived at your rated weight value?Hello Maverick members!
