MY24 Hybrid Lariat – Ignorance is bliss, at least when it comes to the Maverick’s “Deep Sleep” issues. If I would have just stayed off the internet I would never have known/be concerned with the fact that I was having these issues. The truck starts when I get in and that is basically all I need to happen. But since this is my primary vehicle, I get anal about things like this once I know about them. I guess it maybe because I am old/retired and not much else to keep my brain active.
I will not rehash what everyone has discussed, but rather show my current solution. It required the following items:
NOCO genius10 Charger $99.95 on Amazon
NOCO GC008 X-Connect cable with M10 Eyelet Terminals $9.99 on Amazon
2- 5/16-18 Zink Flange Nuts $2.75 at Home Depot
Reference the attach picture:
#1 is the (+ red) Charging pin. Being a true hybrid, this terminal is SAE, not metric. It is 5/16-18 in size. I took one flange nut and put it on upside down. Placed the (+ red) eyelet from the X-Connect cable on top of this and then placed the second flange nut (right side up) and tightened it in place.
#2 is the chassis ground. I simple picked a convent location, removed the bolt (8mm), placed the (- black) eyelet from the X-Connector cable under the existing ground cable and tightened it up.
#3 is my now my permanently mounted connector to my NOCO charger. So much easier than fighting with jumper clamps at night or in the morning.
Note: There are two different X-Connector cables with eyelets. The GC002 has a M6 eyelet, the GC008 has a M10 eyelet.
