Has anyone checked their spare tire. I found a picture on the Canadian Ford Maverick site and thought I would share after I checked mine and it was burnt.

I have only had it since June 24th. I can only imagine how burnt others are who have had it longer.

Is the burn a result of tank recall / repair?

After checking again it looks like it could be the frame. I’m still wondering if it is the frame, why is there not a cover attached to frame to protect the tire.

Can you tell us where on the underbody it is rubbing?

I didn't even know until a few months ago that it's not even a full identical spare tire. Makes sence for being such a cheap option, but me and others would gladly pay a little more for a full size spare. It cant be a size issue under the truck because it would be barely bigger than the spare they have now.

Ford shouldn’t call it a “full size” spare. Very misleading on Fords part

I think the wheel is full-size. You can have a full-size tire installed.
