They mentioned the ICE engine was on going downhill to help serve as an engine brake in conjunction with the regen braking of the electric motor. I am hoping that the ICE engine will shut off on steep grades like that when not towing.Did I miss the part where they shared the downhill fuel economy? Or was the gas motor off the whole time so it read 99mpg? They said the uphill fuel economy was like 11mpg, which they thought was good.
The computer shuts off fuel so it's just using the engine compression to provide braking without using any gasoline. It will use compression braking with fuel cutoff (as the other poster said). It will optimize between than and regen based on the level of charge on the battery. They mentioned the ICE engine was on going downhill to help serve as an engine brake in conjunction with the regen braking of the electric motor. Yes, it’s federal law.He stated all new vehicles are required to have backup cameras per law. Is that accurate? Do all trims come with backup cameras? I know the Lariat does, but I wasn't aware other trims did.
Yes a federal law for all vehicles since 2018. I believe passenger cars were 2016.He stated all new vehicles are required to have backup cameras per law. Is that accurate? Do all trims come with backup cameras? I know the Lariat does, but I wasn't aware other trims did.
