15,000 miles in five months with the Lariat Lux has done nothing but reassure me that I made the right decision to go with a higher trim and options. The interior is quieter in my busy city, the ACC and Lane Keep Assist has made 12 hour drives or crowded highway commutes seem like a breeze. After having both of those features in a vehicle I don't think I can ever go back. The upgraded sound system still isn't great but good enough that I haven't felt the urge to spend more money upgrading it. The truck at every level is still a bargain regardless if its the XL or a full loaded Lariat. I'll have this truck for a while so the additional cost for the comfort was absolutely worth it given how I use it.
Fully agree! The only upgrade I did to the B&O was replace the awful rear speakers with some $99 Morel 4" from Crutchfield. Definite improvement.

Lariat because it comes with alot for the money imo. It's still a budget vehicle but one with enough comforts to keep it relevant for the next 5 years or so.

That acoustic windshield is legit too.

As I'm endlessly waiting for my maverick to come in. I'm debating on upgrading from the XLT to the Lariat. I keep going back and forth on it. I'm curious to what everyone's reason were for choosing their trim level. Also has anyone gotten the XLT or Lariat and wish they di

Incorrect. The system automatically deactivates intelligent access keys left inside when the doors are locked until the unlock button is pressed on the key. So it no less secure than a physical key if it is not found.
Wait, what? I didn't know this, and is awesome news!!

I never thought of that. Maybe in a few years I will trade my XLT pickup for a Lariat. (only if I don't have to have that interior)

I am replying before I get to the end of this thread, so excuse me if it's been said already, but Mavs for 2023 have the option of adding black appearance package, which changes the seat color and some interior pieces to black

Just about everytime I am getting in or out of my truck(Lariat) people are saying how much they love it...especially the interior!

I just remembered a coworker has some shoes that I swear are the exact same color as the seats in the Lariat, lol. I gotta find out what kind they are so I can order some

Good luck with Lariat not worth it for the extra money to me.I had convertibles and a Chevy s10 for 18 years with a manual rear siding window. A little rain never bother me!

A lil rain may not bother you (I've owned a Miata and an old S-10 before too), but that water might bother any electronics behind the rear seat...

Now that I've gotten the replies out of the way (I actually did read the 18 or so pages, nice read), I ordered a CG HYLarLux with Moon and full 360. While I can't predict the future, this will probably be the last new vehicle I buy for myself, and I wanted to get as much as I could for under $40k. There were some must haves (moonroof, power sliding, heated seats & wheel, upgraded stereo, ACC the 18 inch wheels) and those things came in the LarLux. Also, like someone stated previously, I probably won't be doing any aftermarket upgrades aside from an air freshener once the new car smell fades away. Still not sold on the seat color though, kinda feel like you have to choose the right exterior color to match the Lariat's interior (yes I know about the BAP). Gonna watch a few more videos on CG Lars to help narrow down my final decision on which way I wanna go with that, luckily I can still change exterior colors or add BAP.

Absolutely - I only have around 1800 miles but loving the Lariat Lux - haven't been inside another Maverick so I can't compare the "acoustic windshield" but sometimes I can't tell if the engine turned on it's so quiet.

ActiveX seats are comfy, haven't had to clean them yet - I may put a cover of some sort in the back for when winter arrives as I keep a snowbrush back there. I've picked up some pizzas that have seeped through the box onto the back seat, just wipes right off. The seats were a little warm after sitting in the sun - next year I may look into window tinting.

ACC and Lane Keep Assist are great - haven't been on longer than a 2 hour drive but they still help tremendously. I've learned how to position my hand so the wheel feels a slight resistance but I'm still ready to take over if needed.

Intelligent Access and Push-Button Start are awesome. Only time I need to take my keys out now are when I'm unlocking the door at my house.

Can't give an opinion on the B&O as I felt they were an upgrade on my Crosstrek's mediocre sound system, but I know it could be better. Doubt I'll change anything there.

Biggest downside to going Lariat Lux? If/when I get a newer model (hopefully a couple of years at least), I can never go back to anything less.

Perhaps I misunderstand.
With my Lariat, I leave the clicker inside the truck while inside Lowe’s (vet discount), for instance, locking up with the on-door keypad. Upon return, I unlock with the keypad, climb in, push the start button and I’m off, never having touched the clicker again.
So HAVING to unlock with the key is NOT necessary.

I believe all Mavericks have LED headlights. Unless you mean the DRL "signature lights" on Lariat? I gotta say I'm not really a fan of the thick Lariat DRLs - compared to the thinner version on the Escape or F150s. And don't get me started on the lack of LEDs in the rest of the exterior lighting... For a "Lariat Luxury" they should have made every light possible an LED. Plus turn indicators on the mirrors.

I just got the Lasfit LED replacement package - didn't want to the spend the extra but I definitely wanted brighter reverse lights and turn signals, then brake lights... and at that point might as well do everything.

While I'm complaining, I feel the backup camera could have been higher quality.
