Yes, yes, yes, many.
Well that kills my theory!
Do you have an idea of why an order would just stop existing?

Is it just due to the shortages?

Well just got to see the window sticker on the Maverick I ordered and it shows that they changed SIBL to drop in liner. It was my understanding that if you ordered the SIBL before Ford made the changes to the LUX pkg and made it a drop in liner, then SIBL is what you would receive and your Lux pkg would be what you originally ordered before the change. I ordered in Nov 2021 before Ford changed the Lux pkg. If they took off the SIBL then I'm wondering what else was changed. Were there any other changes to the original Lux pkg for the XLT? Shouldn't there be a discount to the Lux pkg for Ford changing my SIBL to DIBL? Wonder what else they omitted?
My guess is that your dealer switched it to the DIBL, after getting messages from Ford about delays. They did it without asking, to get the vehicle built faster, thus getting a sale sooner.

Ordered Oct 25 my xlt lux came with spray in bed liner. I really like it. Was disappointed they switched Lux to drop in.

Nice thing about a DIBL is you can easily remove it.

Good, that's what you should have received. Whatever your window sticker shows is how it was built. If it shows DIBL, someone changed it.
Well I guess someone changed it at the factory probably just to move it along. Nothing I can do about it now.

Maybe your dealer/sales rep put the order in for the truck after the deadline was past? So even though you went in a couple of days before the deadline if they didn't actually place the order with Ford until afterwards that might explain the DIBL instead of a SIBL.

FWIW neither Ford nor the manufacturing facility can change an order. It has to be done by the Ford dealer that placed the original order period end of story.

The factory won't change what's on the order. They are building both Luxury Packages every day.

We have about 60+ June and July orders with Luxury Packages with spray in bedliners, waiting to get built in July and August and they will be built the way they were ordered.

I would be more inclined to think that your dealer changed it.

Interesting. I wonder if this is why my XLT Lux, built 5/26 went back to "in production" status for four weeks.

May have been waiting for SIBL.

Shows as Built again now.

Well just looked at my order tracker online and it says it was built 6/28 and is awaiting shipment. So drop in bed liner it is going to be I guess. Nothing I can do about it now. Build date went from 6-6 to 7/4 and back to 6/28. So guessing switch to drop in cut off some time. At least that worked in my favor.

>>>>> Have a question though. Thought I heard some one say that the bed extender can't be used with the drop in bed liner? That true? Doesn't seem like that would make sense to me why that would be the case.

I think the difference in price between the two is only like 100 bucks when you’re building your order anyways. Like as an add on seperate from lux package. Be glad you’re one of the few lux package orders that have been fulfilled lol

It can be. There's even the outline for where it can be cut for the mounts, although I think someone was able to mount on top of the bedliner by just drilling the holes. It's just not a combo at ordering.

Correct, not available from the factory with DIBL or the soft folding tonneau cover or the hard Rollup tonneau cover. Brackets on bed cover interfere with it swinging in and no holes in drop in liner for the bed extender. You could buy it afterwards and get it to fit on your own.

Order went in on Nov 2. Order shows SIBL.
I ordered the same day and got changed from a SIBL to a DIBL by the ordering system so I had to make peace with that a long time ago. Just got email saying the truck has been built and shipped with an ETA to the dealer of Aug 7-12.
So that will be over nine months from order to delivery.

I'm not going to complain about the switch. Always have the option of getting a spray in liner from a local shop. Just wondered why the switch. I think they probably made the decision at the factory because they are trying to get as many 2022 fulfilled as possible at this point. now to see how long it takes to ship.

By the time i ordered in Jan the drop in was standard inn the lux package for ordering. They must have done some retroactive swaps too 🤷‍♂️
