I went with the XL, I liked the interior better and I don't use cruise much. I wasn't thrilled with the steely wheels, but the more I see them the more I like them. What draws me to the Maverick is 4 doors and flat towable. I have two small dogs and a MH.
Is there anything on the XLT that I wish I would have that the XL doesn't have?
The big one that jumps out is the locking tailgate, but as soon as an ARE hard painted bed cover comes out I will buy that.
I want the copilot 360, spray in bed liner and tow hitch for sure, everything else is easily added later if I want it.
If MSRP hits 30k, I will buy the Bronco instead. The dealer has a First Edition for 37k on the lot. I usually do not go for the upper trim packages because I never use all the added tech and I don't care for the bling.
I just sold my 2020 F150 to Carmax for more than I paid for it last year, so my only transportation is a 65 Mustang. I'm retired and my wife works, so when she is at work I am stuck home when it is raining, like today.
Kind of in the same boat with the steelies. I will likely ride them until the factory rubber wears down and try and find some orphaned XLT or Ranger wheels to put some 3 season tires on and then use my steelies for a set of winter tires.I went with the XL, I liked the interior better and I don't use cruise much. I'm not sure where you got the $30k MSRP from as my XLT Hybrid Maverick is MSRP $24k.What draws me to the Maverick is 4 doors and flat towable. I have two small dogs and a MH.

This is something I couldn't get a clear answer on when ordering initially. My dealer only had the XL in stock. Other than the color, is the material quality and feel actually different in XLT vs the XL?The Unique Cloth Seats are much more comfortable that the base cloth seats in the XL
I sat in the XL seats. They seemed fine to me, just not the blue Jean like pattern but still perfectly fine. Like any other car seat. Also at the XL price point you can easily dress it up with Katzkin seat covers. This is something I couldn't get a clear answer on when ordering initially. My dealer only had the XL in stock. Some of the video reviews that were released on 10/5 said that the XLT seats were more comfortable. This is something I couldn't get a clear answer on when ordering initially. I’m not sure what more comfortable means from the spec list. Is there more springs, support, cushion, or a nicer fabric? I can only go off what’s in equipment group 300A and it just seems to be nicer fabric. Some of the video reviews that were released on 10/5 said that the XLT seats were more comfortable.

I like the XLT appearance overall better that the XL. Wife also agrees.
These XLT features that the XL does not have are features that I want:
Cruise Control (must have)
Power Exterior Side View Mirrors
Power Locking Tailgate
Rear Cubby Storage in the Bed (Passenger Side)
4 additional Tie-Downs
Painted Aluminum Wheels - The Steel Wheels on the XL look cheap to me
The Unique Cloth Seats are much more comfortable that the base cloth seats in the XL
On long vacation trips I will really appreciate having the more comfortable seats and the cruise control.
For $2285 I feel getting the XLT over the XL is worth it.
Since I also keep my vehicles 12+ years that $2285 over 12 years is only $190 yearly.
When I was ordering my 1998 Ford Ranger XLT SuperCab I was wavering about paying $1900 to get the extra 14" space behind the front seats in the cabin. A friend told me that he regretted not having that space so I did order the extra 14" space and every time I used it over the 16+ years I had the truck I felt it was a great choice and a bargain that only cost me about $10 a month.

I chose the the XL because my personal taste prefers the XL interior better ( I hate those orange accents and the seats are no different other then the coverings. I ordered the 360 and got the power windows and for $115 got the full size spare. i didn't care for the storage bins in the rear because they are not that big and not that useable for me ( I''l probably add the tool box to get some real lockable space. The extra tie downs can be added for under $50. The steelies are fine and actuall make it look like a truck. If I want to add alloys it wouldn't be the ones offered by Ford as they look like the same thing as I see on a bunch of cars and trucks already. The XL cloth seats are built exactly as the seats in the XLT except for the upholstery so ther is no way they are more confortable. The only advantage I see to the XLT is the Cruise Control and a couple of extra features on the 360 which I have on my 2021 Crosstrek and hate those two features. So the only feature that some might want is the Cruise control. It wasn't worth it since the other features I want are also options on the XLT and cost the same for the same models. So that is $2285 I just saved. Let me add one last note...I really don't need Cruise Control in the Hybrid since this is my get around town vehicle as I have the Crosstrek and my Winnebago Travato that have that feature for long trips. Bottom line chose the one tht better serves your purpose since there are plenty of choices...
