I had a 1991 Chevy S10, 2 door regular cab, 5 speed manual 4 cylinder. Bought new, drove it for 13 years, loved that thing. If GM or Ford would offer something similar I'd jump on it.

Nope. Maybe, maybe an extended cab version if it was all I could get but not that. Gotta have some room for the groceries. LOL.
I would have liked an extended cab version, just with no seats in the back, just enough room to put 'stuff' like grocery bags, & then maybe it would have had a 5.5' or 6' box too.

Yep. With all of the deliveries I do, a 6 foot box is more appealing to me. The 4.5 foot is ok, but my tailgate will be down more than up, especially while hauling windshields 1-2 times a week..

in Ford's terminology, the smaller extended cab is called a Super Cab and has 1/2 size rear doors that open backwards. That's what my F-150 has and seems the most useful without adding too much length overall. When Crew Cabs came out, they were aimed at work crews traveling together needing the extra seating and leg room. Then families that didn't want a mini van or Suburban size hauler discovered them and made them mainstream as cabin amenities got more car like and comfortable.

I definitely would take a super cab long bed where the super cab area is for inside storage and the ability to push the seats all the way back and recline slightly. Do not try and put jump seats in there for carrying people. Do this with a slightly larger battery for the hybrid system and/or bigger gas tank for the ICE.

I am using mine for personal use.

You're missing the real opportunity here - a single cab, but built on the 105" Bronco Sport length wheelbase. Now that could be a fun little truck (y)

I would love a 2 door version. This is a rendering that I did, borrowing a page out of the Focus ZX3 vs ZX5 handbook, and extending the front door length, so you still have room behind the seats, as well as a longer bed length.

This poster just created a Maverick Ranchero and I love it!!!

Hidden storage behind the seat for tools or groceries is a must.

The market for something like this is so small that it's not worth Ford's time and tooling to make it happen.

Nope no good. Just when you think you don't need the extra seats - your mum or mate asks for a ride and you say - sorry bub no room... not good.

The only time this is a good Idea is a fleet truck.

That's actually what I wanted. The cheapest new single cab truck I could possibly get. But, it would have to cost a couple thousand less for me to buy one now that I know the 4 door is $19,995.
