So as I stated before I tried so many things to silence the rattle. I’ve removed the windshield pins etc. I thought it was fixed and it came back with absolute vengeance. I took a ride with a friend and he insisted it was coming from the roof. I said no way in hell. We put a shim between the black plastic show below and the glass and it was quiet. Removed the shim and it was rattling again. Shim back in and quiet. For now the polycarbonate shim tip is wedged but I need a more permanent fix. It should be glued down like the driver side, but it has enough play in it to tap the glass. Unreal.

Curious if you could reshare the photos or describe where this roof spot you are talking about is.

For those of you that have removed the windshield locator pins, is this the sound that you were hearing? I'm guessing that is what this is, and it is driving me nuts! Had to do a little audio processing on the video file to reduce the volume of the road noise so the buzzing could be heard clearly in the video.

Guys thanks for all the great information I have the clicking noises in the passenger side in the cold weather on My 2025 Maverick. In the warm weather no noises just curious why it's mostly from the passenger side when the drivers side also has the alignment pin? Is the hole larger on the drivers side where the pin comes through?

thank you! This has been driving me insane since I purchased the truck. I’ve tried so many things to get it to work and nothing has been effective. Today I was about to go ahead and start cutting the pins off when I saw your comment about bending the metal and it absolutely worked and if it comes back like you said, I’ll address it then. Taking a set of needle nose and just bending it back-and-forth pinching the pin or even just providing space is the solution for now.
do you have any pics or info on how to remove that a pillar panel to access the alignment pin? im afraid of prying in wrong location and setting off the airbag. 😅

Now that it's real cold outside 20 degrees and below the clicking noise isn't as bad.
