Oops posted this in the wrong thread. Just got an update from my SA.

Still not done but she said the body shop replaced all the drivers side door seals and moldings, A pillar cover, and a few other bits. They're still waiting for some remaining parts to do something with the headliner but they weren't very specific with the details. She did reiterate that they all confirmed the noise is there so as long as that's documented that works for me.

Overall my SA has been a little less communicative than I'd like but it is what it is. She said the last of the parts, install, and test will be on Monday so we'll see.

I'll report back and share the final result and what ends up being written up in the documentation as far as what was replaced, etc.

Thank you for the update, hopefully all goes well, I am interested to see what the final results are.

I got the truck back on Friday and overall nothing changed. They had the truck 3 weeks and allegedly did a number of things but my SA didn't have the final parts list ready at the time of pickup.

They left the dashcam connected so upon review I can at least confirm:

1. They test drove it and confirmed the issue.
2. It went to the body shop and it was tested a few times
3. Work was done to it but what that work was is still unknown.
4. The drivers side door seals all appear to be the same. Nothing was replaced (has some of the same marks they had before).
5. It was untouched for the last week it sat there.

So disappointed but not really surprised. The wind noise is bothering me enough to take the hit and look at something else but I'm going to order those door seals first to see if that addresses the issue.

Thank you for the update, I was hoping they would find the issue, let me know if the door seals work for you

My wind whistle has me in the same head space. Highly interested in whether you find a solution. I’m pretty frugal, but at the same time I’m reaching an age where I just want stuff to work properly and have less patience than I used to for stuff like this.

Unfortunately none of the solutions I've been reading on the Internet have worked for me.

1. Rubber D seals along the door. No change (maybe even worse).
2. Inserted 5/8th tubing into the door seals to add rigidity. Slight change but maybe confirmation bias.
3. Reseated door seal on body side. No change.
4. Adjusted door striker slightly inward. No change.
5. Slightly bent in top of door to further press seals. No change.
6. Re-taped the entire drivers side door and windshield edges. No change.

My conclusion is that it's unrelated to the door itself and possibly resonating from somewhere else. Thankfully medium volume music resolves this but phone calls or podcasts are annoying.

I'm going to see if I can drive another maverick just to see what it's supposed to be like or maybe the average maverick buyer has hearing loss 😂

If I wanted this much wind noise I would have bought a Miata. ND3 is tempting though.

It's frustrating honestly, I took mine to the dealer to see what they say and they tell me they don't hear anything. The wind noise is so obvious. Make phone calls of listening to podcasts it's annoying like you mentioned.

I am curious if anyone has installed EGR Window deflectors for there Maverick and has noticed any difference better or worse.

Has anybody beside 2lbgill applied tape to the mirrors like he did? Link is below. I experience loud wind roar on occasions. Sometimes at 65 on the freeway, sometimes at 45 on a downhill highway. I'm guessing it depends on the weather, wind velocity and direction. I've checked the fender insulation upon returning home and it was always upright and solidly in place. Window and door closing always proper and tightly sealed. Will try the tape on the mirror trick one day. Lariat's reasonably quiet otherwise even compared to more expensive luxury brands I've recently driven so perhaps that's why this occasional wind roar is so bothersome.

Only on the back - because prior experience on other vehicles in-channel ones did make noise on front.
So I'm not sure on Mav.

Back ones really don't. Well - over existing noise!

No change for me when I tried this. Maybe you have to use duct tape? I used foam tape as I didn't want to leave residue. I guess I can try duct tape at this point.

I own a '24 Maverick Hybrid purchased October 2024. I hear a lot of wind noise in the cab while driving on the highway regardless of speed. I contacted the Ford dealership and asked if other Maverick owners had complained of the noise and I was told no. They asked me if it was noticeable. I wouldn't have called to ask if it wasn't. Does anyone else have this problem? If so, how did you get it to stop?
I have had 2 XL Mavericks and both had no issue with wind noise, unless you try to roll down one window then be prepared for an ear ache. Always partially roll down a back window too to cancel the wind buffeting.

UPDATE. Using advice found on another forum thread, my whistle sound seems to be resolved, The dealer replaced the rubber seal around the drivers door window. I think it is technically called the “window run”. Anyway, the seal looked perfect but was faulty, and a new seal seems to have eliminated the whistle noise that nobody could isolate.

Posting this solution because I feel like many of these threads fade into the sunset with no resolution at the end. If anyone finds this in the future, here you go. Try having the window run replaced and that might be your ticket. FYI.
