The AGM as well as a noco g4 or g5 multi function maintainer are available as dealer installed items. As far as being acceptable I am happy to put factory or AGM battery on a maintainer for a week 3 or 4 times a year to double or triple my batteries life. Before I had my maverick I had a 2012 Honda CRV which would eat a battery in 28-36 months without a 4 stage maintainer on it 3 or 4 times a year. (The 4th battery when I was using my noco g5 was still going after 61 months). Also I plug my cell phone into it's charger EVERY NIGHT.
Bad news on the cell phone, their lipo batteries last longer when kept at 50% charge. Lead acid batteries last longest at 100% charge.

Some days my cell phone will last till 7 pm some days it will make it til 2 am, bed time. Depends mainly on how much Wi-Fi time (takes more but 5g signal is weak at home so phone switches to Wi-Fi). My phone will see 50% on way down 8-10 times a week and I do let it go until recommended shutdown twice a week.

Where did you buy your agm? Was it local or in the mail?
What was the manufacturer? Did it fit without pulling out the plastic trim.
I want to be ready if my battery goes south and i need to mail for a battery (i have only 1 car).
thanks
AC Delco LN1 AGM is a perfect drop in fit …. 520 CCA verses the 390 CCA Motorcraft POS. Faster charging and slower discharge. No need to pull any plastic trim or modify the side tabs. Bought online from Rock Auto …. Had the best price. Came with the needed vent plug. Battery was manufactured in May 2024. I bought it in early July. Charges at 14.6v to 14.8v with a resting voltage of 12.8. Turned off all telematics but did not pull fuse #11. No more sleep issues.

I received 3 notifications that my remote features were disabled on my ‘24 hybrid. This is during the 4 months that I’ve owned the truck. I had some concern about the notices but everything seemed to normalize itself by just driving the truck.Today I got the notification again. My mileage is 1958 miles. I read that I’m supposed to trickle charge my battery to avoid going into “deep sleep”. I’m not happy about that.
IF NORMAL DRIVING WON’T CHARGE THE BATTERY,WHY DID’NT FORD BUILD IN ,A PLUG-IN BATTERY CHARGER ?
Why is getting an AGM Battery and rigging a charger yourself, acceptable to the members of this club?
I totally agree that you shouldn’t have to drive it more often or hook it up to a trickle charger. Yes there are options for battery replacement but why should we have to spend more $$ to correct a Ford issue?
I have had the same “Battery Saver” messages since owning mine for a year now but has never failed to start. I drive mine at least a couple times a week but not long distances often. It kind of defeats the purpose of having a fuel efficient vehicle if you are required to drive it more often without having accessories on to charge the battery.

My experience: simply installing an AGM battery solved my Hybrid's deep sleep issues.

No need for a charger.

The Hybrid Maverick should have had an AGM battery from the factory, just like all (similar) Toyota planetary Hybrids do. I've had multiple Hybrid Toyotas, and have had zero battery charging issues.

At this point, I think this was simply a cost cutting decision by Ford, likely not the right one in hindsight. I am sort of surprised that they haven't switched to AGMs in later Maverick model years, as there are obviously lots of reports of these issues.

Anyway, not a major deal: a new AGM was only $135 or so, and that fixed it for me.
Was that an on line battery? Was there mailing charges? Where did you get it from?
Did you have to mail the core back if done on line, and you had to pay the mailing?

thanks for response. does that include the mailing charges? thanks again.
That price includes shipping.

$139.99 minus 10% coupon (currently) makes it $126 for a high quality Group 140R AGM battery shipped to your house. That's hard to beat I think.

Thank you for amazon link. I don't know why amazon statement read "this battery will not fit your 2023 ford maverick". I do have a hybrid, but so do you

Currently: $139 minus 10%, no core charge so no need to send in the old battery.
That link shows a Size: H4 /Group 140R battery for Cyber Monday price of $111.99 but shows this battery will not fit my 2024 Maverick Lariat Hybrid. When I click on the Amazon link for my vehicle, it shows
No results found for your 2024 Ford Maverick.

What size and Group battery should I search for?

TIA

You've got to order the battery anyway. You'll receive an email from UPlus stating you should order a larger AGM battery. I replied that I had a hybrid 2.5L Atkinson and electric motors and the Uplus H4 AGM was an exact fit for the OEM battery. They promptly shipped the H4 battery.

What's currently in it?

I'm betting an H4, like most of the others. (some have shorter T4)

Since that is not the OEM listed battery 99R, it'll likely never be listed as compatible, until some database they all reference gets updated. Currently a few sites do list an alternate size - and it's wrong! Figures.

But 140R is usually AGM size, 99R is FLA size. Both H4/T4 which has same base dimensions.

My truck will be 3 years old in March (9th) I only drive 4K a year, so it sits many days undriven. It goes into "deep sleep" all the time, but always starts when I push the start button. (Lariat with push button) has the original battery that came in the truck, I worried at first, but as soon as it starts, all the interior lights go on, and everything is back to normal.

Makes me wonder if they used some decent batteries for a bit, or perhaps it had to do with trim line.

Did you get all the recalls that had to do with the Body Control Module BCM - like taillight issue, ect?

Is this your battery?
Sounds like there was a slightly upgraded version of this with tad more CA/CCA (perhaps opposite), but still made in Spain, and still problematic.
One label says H4 size (which dimensions agree with), other label says it's their OEM size 99R / T4 (which it's not per height).

Running my '24 Hybrid daily since January, and I've never seen issues like this. Came back from 8 days out of country, and no battery issues either. What am I doing right? My biggest frustration is that the battery capacity if too small, with engine braking engaging in places where I'd love to be able to store more energy.
From reading on here it seems like you should be using slippery mode to get less engine braking so you can do what you want there. Don't have mine yet so again just saying what seems to make sense from people that have gotten good results in that mode.
