I go on this forum everyday to read, and learn things about the Maverick. People complain about rattles, harsh ride, radio Is not quality etc. If these things bother you, buy a car, "NOT A TRUCK". Again they state this is my first new car, It's a Truck! Over the years, I have bought many vehicles, most used, 10 to 15 new. (I've been driving 66 years) stop comparing apples with oranges. Trucks do truck things, move a refrigerator, if you want comfort, buy a Camry. Just my humble opion. The Maverick is the best bang for the buck out there!
I agree

It's all a matter of perspective, I guess. Yes, there are complaints and sometimes the nature of them is truly picayune. But I'm also a MINI Cooper owner and those groups are far worse.

Imagine someone coming here all brimming with excitement because they're in the process of buying a Maverick, only to have forum members tell them to buy something else because whatever Maverick they buy will be a money pit. Or tell them, when they announce their new purchase, that they should have bought something else.

At least here, the "go buy a Camry" crew waits until there's a complaint before offering that advice.

The best advice anyone can offer is to, when you see a post that rubs you the wrong way, just move on to the next one.

Some people's default mode is to complain. You could prepare a steak cooked exactly to their preference, then they'd complain about the seasoning or sear.

As far as vehicles go, my Mav has had issues within +/- 1 standard deviation of the mean. Typical infotainment bugs, a couple recalls, and a dead window switch (easy fix). For the price and capability, totally acceptable for 1 year of ownership.

I once had a clutch slave cylinder fail on a two year old car. Almost left me stranded, but was able to pump the clutch pedal enough to limp it to the dealer.

I have a complaint: nobody is complaining here. Just seems so unnatural.

It's not a 'truck'. It's a Escape/Bronco Sport with a bed. That distinction doesn't matter anyway. I fully expect my F-150's to be every bit as well built, feature laden and reliable as my Edge's or Maverick.

Now I do notice this forum has a disproportionate amount of complaining about complete non-issues vs other vehicle forums I've been on. Hood too high, rear view mirror to low, rotary shifter....really?

Most that complain probably don’t even own one.
Probably Dodge of Government Motors fans.

I am very, very happy. Our first Maverick was an XLT and we liked it so much sold it and got a Lariat. We had an Edge also and sold that and now Maverick is main driver. The Maverick is the absolute best vehicle ever had .
