Last month was my 1 year anniversary of purchasing my '24 XLT. Currently at 16,500 miles and enjoying it. I still wonder a lot if I should've gone AWD hybrid, but I got mine for $27k brand new so it was hard to say no to that price. Right now my plan is to keep this truck until it dies. The only scenario I can see me replacing it is gas prices get so insane (and don't come back down) that a hybrid becomes a necessity, or Ford releases a PHEV Ranger in the US.

I still have my 23 Tremor. I like it for many reasons however my 2025 Ranger XLT is my favorite.

2022 Maverick EB AWD delivered in July 2022. About 5600 miles on the odometer. One oil change to date. No problems. I retired in March 2022 and I sure don't drive much any more. So my Maverick average is about 1500 miles/year. My F250 average is only 500 miles/year.

Details is in my signature below. I have an ongoing, intermittent DEAD HYBRID problem so I have a jump box ready when it happens. It's the battery cable connector.

You probably have the lowest mileage on a MY22 of anyone on this site! I would still get the oil changed at least once per year.

2022 EB AWD - 76k miles, regular maintenance. Trans fluid at 60k. New tires at 68k. New battery under recall. Plus the other recalls. No other issues at all. I love this thing.

Still have my 22 XL hybrid. No issues except for the recalls. I don't plan on selling any time soon.

I was just wondering if it was a P0402. I had that one come and go for about the last 3 months.
Sure enough, same code.
CEL went on today, ran the scanner and resulted in P0402 code.

Internet search results in likely EGR Sensor issue.
Ordered replacement part through Tasca. JX7A-5L200-AD is the OEM part number, but part # RX6Z-5L200-A shows as the replacement. Specifically lists the Maverick Hybrid.

Will install myself since my local Ford of Boerne Service Center actually seems to hate customers.
Here's a photo I found online of someone who replaced it on their Maverick Hybrid with success.

Ordered part here:

Amazon has several too, but were not OEM (FoMoCo). Want to try the FoMoCo OEM branded parts first.

If this OEM part doesn't work, I will try the Amazon part. One positive Amazon review supposedly is for a 2024 Ford Maverick Hybrid with a faulty EGR Sensor; despite part number not listing Maverick specific.

I will post followup of how it turns out.

UPDATE:
I see several posts through MTC, especially @JoaquinF , that match this info and newer part number. Thanks!
I feel more confident in this upcoming repair attempt.

Also, updated post to specifically say EGR Sensor, not the valve. Thanks @rclee.

Just to be clear, @XL Hybrid Cactus Gray is replacing the EGR SENSOR and not the EGR valve. The sensor is the part pictured above. @Joaquin F has a link on one of his posts for an original FoMoCo part that is about $13.00 for the part and $14.00 shipping. That is a great deal!

2023 Eco, bought that April. 42k miles now. No real issues. I was debating between this an a Ranger. Needed a vehicle. Walked out of first dealer. 2nd one didn't have a Ranger, but had a decent deal on the Mav, so ....

I traded my '22 Cyber Orange, XLT, Hybrid with 44k miles for a '25 Oxford White, XLT, Hybrid in January 2025 (currently has 23k miles). I've been driving essentially the same truck for 4 years and 67k miles and still love it! No issues with either of them.
