What's your Maverick's name / nickname?

Ike. I like Ike. Attended Eisenhower College, he was President when I was born, and the truck is Iconic Silver.

I thought briefly about Ike as a nickname for my ordered Iconic Silver Lariat Hybrid, glad someone else is using it!

On another "name your maverick" thread here someone mentioned using a Hobbit name because it is a Hobbit truck.

I liked that idea and decided to go with Samwise (still haven't decided if I should add the "Gamgee" last name). During the Lord of the Rings, Samwise acted like Frodo's truck. Carrying the supplies, cooking the meals, and near the end carrying Frodo both emotionally and at times physically. I'm planning to find a still from the 1980 animated movie to make into a custom vanity plate for the front. (My state doesn't insist on actual license plated on the front, so I can use that space for my name-plate. My current Saturn is my commuting car, so it is named Prometheus. I found a picture from Cassini of Saturn's moon Prometheus to use on the name plate for that car.)

My wife hates the idea of giving it a name. But I'm thinking it should be Pappy. Let me know when you figure it out. Or I can give you a clue.

Mine is named Bret. But Bart was a close 2nd choice. Beau would be acceptable maybe if you live in Canada. Brent, however, is right out! (“Like Pappy always said…”)

Unicorn, Because I have a better chance of having a real Unicorn than getting a Maverick built!

I found the Unicorn. Because I went to the lot, said "I'll take it." And drove it home the same day. Almost the exact truck I would have ordered. Come to California. There's some out here. And I saw three on the AM commute that's just 10 miles. Three being driven that is.

And Pinocchio, because this truck so much wants to be a real EV. Like 75% of my miles are without gas.

I live in Maryland, I hate Maryland... the traffic, politics, taxes, weather, rude people and asshole drivers. I am here because this is where the food is, and my wife is a native. When I retire (capital R) Maryland is in my rear view mirror. That said... My truck license plate is what I am calling it... QUAGMYR... as I am stuck in the tar pit of Maryland.
