I'm trying to figure out how to get "Super Light Duty" on a decal. I wanted it printed so it looks like it's 3D and "dented" in like on our big brother F150/250/350s. I found Eurostile MN for the font (folks think it's like the older Ford font for "Super Duty". Ford doesn't share/post the fonts...

I had this same problem but the issue was with the upper ball plate. When you tighten it be sure the bottom doesn't move toward you. It needs to stay square (vertical) to keep just enough space available for the wrapped part of the cable to clear the damper. I called DeeZee (Ford OEM for this)...
