I do not have a build date.
Your order has every constrained item on it. Cover, liner, hybrid and the trucks to be built likely last, FE.

I would certainly welcome those immigrants to ride home with me. They’re the only people who are still willing to do the kinds of ugly chores I used to do when I was young, and used to be able to hire younger Americans to do when I was older.
Except: Importing labor that is willing to work at less than the market rate hurts all workers in the long term. Many of these jobs no one wants is because they do not pay enough to attract workers. People want to pay $1 for a head of lettuce not $2 or $3 so the farmer and farm worker can earn a decent wage.

Around here nearly all construction is done by migrant labor, when I was a kid, framers, roofers, masons and carpenters were all U.S. citizens.

No offense intended. You are taking my comment out of context. I’m talking about the seemingly-large number of dealer stock versions that show up with the FX4 trim. There must be a reason so many dealers have ordered them. Those of you on this forum researched and purposely ordered this option. But how many buyers stumble upon one of these FX4’s while touring the lot, and really have no idea what that means? They might see it as a “cool” upgrade. Many of those buyers are likely not to be the MAVERICK "experts" we on this forum are, and I can’t help but think that sticker helps make a sale for a lot of people. It’s not that what comes with the package is bad. You might think, "well, having those extras is just nice - even if I have no real use for them. Or maybe they just like the look. Or maybe a lot of people who buy them really do a lot of towing, and this particular setup they stumbled upon is just what they need. EGO is an ugly reality we all have to deal with, and it’s a BIG factor in a consumer society! Yours was riled up just by the sheer mention of it.
You COULD be right, but how do you know that the Mavericks that 'showed up' on dealer lots were stock orders? I mean if somebody took a poll and asked how many families ordered more than one Maverick but only plan to buy one of those orders, I wonder what the response would be. If someone took a poll and asked how many people ordered a Maverick but ended up buying something else, what might the response be? We already know that dealership staffers order Mavericks, so there are lots of reasons why a few Ford dealers might have Mavericks to sell.

FYI, just a quick note on how the "Reply" system works. Maybe you already know this.

If you hit the "Reply" button in the post you are responding to then readers can tell which post you are responding to. Makes it easier to follow the conversation.

If you just type in a reply at the bottom of the page your post just comes in randomly and it's hard to tell, for example, who you think is taking your comment out of context.

I wasn't specifying HOW the vehicles got there. Simply the possible reaction and reason someone who was just shopping might find one of these trucks and decide on the spot they wanted it, based on it's equipment and look. And we shouldn't be getting political here, but anyone who DOES come onto my property to work, declares their own price. We either accept it, or don't. Workforce issues related to labor OTHER than some individual or group who is seeking work and willing to accept working for me, a homeowner, on my property, are not my concern, but I also vote with my dollar there, by purchasing a product, or not, usually based on quality, NOT price. I happen to agree that the workforce in general is underpaid in many areas, but you'll have to take that up with the wealthy companies and corporations who are paying them.

The Mavericks that weren't being built for stock before customer orders were the hybrid. And the reason your build got moved was because the factory is shut down this week due to material shortages. Your dealership was incorrect that they're building the trims in specific order.

Yeah, I especially love the way that each Dealership has a different story... pretty much making it up as they go along; somewhere between what they are being told and what they are telling their customers. Watch enough Dealer videos and they each contradict each other. We all see where the factory has been shut down three times now, once for two days due to material shortages, but... if I recall correctly from my FoMoCo Order Confirmation, they say that they will not even begin a build until ALL of the parts for your particular vehicle are in stock. Yet there are customers that have had their vehicles started and then stopped and build times extended. Obviously it doesn't work both ways.

Here's another good one. IF your vehicle happens to be one of the ones that is used to smuggle drugs out of Mexico, a good idea would be to have your local LE agency with a Drug Interdiction Dog do a quick walkaround on it before taking possession. Pretty Paranoid? Um.... get back to me on that one if the day comes that you go through any vehicle stop or checkpoint, find Woofie the Dog alerting to it and have your vehicle torn apart. My 30 years of LEO experience tells me otherwise :)

First, everyone placed a Reservation (mine was back in June or July) for a unit. That then required that they select a Dealer, contact them and convert that Reservation to an actual Order, which typically required a Deposit (mine was $500 and was made a week after I placed the Reservation) At that point we began to see Ford state that they intended to fill those orders before making Stock Units to send to Dealerships for Retail Sale. Fast forward to the last few weeks where we now see videos being posted daily by Ford Dealerships with units available (albeit at over MSRP prices) on their lots for sale. I know some are from Orders that we declined when they began to show up, but from my understanding from Dealership Personnel, most are simply retail sale units. My point is that you would think that Ford would have the integrity to both stick to their original commitment to fill actual customers orders, as well as not tell us one thing and do the exact opposite.

Long as I am ranting, I have a 2.0 AWD Lariat in Velocity Blue with a Tow Pkg and a Luxury Pkg on order. The 'word' from the Dealer is that the XL and then the XLT is being produced first and then they will begin to make the Lariat. Meanwhile, I see new videos with Lariats being made daily. Seriously? I had to drop the Hard Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover from my order, for the order to go forward (no biggie: buy one aftermarket, but still) Yet I see video's being made with them on the trucks from the factory. My original build date (even tho' I ordered back in Summer) was for Nov. 1st. Then that got bumped up to Nov. 9th. Gotta wonder if that will get bumped up before the 9th gets here (as today is Nov. 2nd)

Then yesterday I see on the news where undocumented aliens have been found riding the rails inside of new cars being transported from Mexico and living in them while journeying North. Hmmm..... better take a really close look at the insides for signs of habitation or damage before assuming it is brand shiny new, whenever it arrives I suppose!
You should log out of all these conspiracy theory websites(or stop talking to the crazy dealers). I am anxious to get my Lariat too. I don't mind that it is taking longer because the process of building and testing new models is always full of refinements and recalls. So, it will take longer but we will get a better Truck!

People on these boards all act as if they need the Maverick right away. I'm sure some do, but not nearly to the level that folks would have you believe.

My Maverick has been ordered for just a little over a month now after having a reservation for about 2. I would have loved my Maverick yesterday but I also know it is coming sooner than later.

There's a damn global supply chain nightmare and global material shortages affecting all manufacturing. Not just the auto industry, or specifically Ford.

Obtaining a new vehicle that you want with the specific options through an ordering process is going to take months if not close to a year to complete. Plan ahead. We're also lucky that we should get ours in MY22 and be protected from the impending price increases that will be steep.
there's no "impending" price increases, nor will any be "steep" according to my dealer. Look to Bronco Sport increases as a guide. There's likely to be modest step increases each quarter next year.

All things being equal, I'm would not want any new/revised vehicle just starting production. I would rather have one three or four months down the line with most of the production kinks ironed out.

There most certainly will be price increases that will total at least $900 for MY23. It may be even worse especially because Ford's stock is at a level that it hasn't seen since 2001 and there is going to be huge pressure to deliver. The Maverick is not a profit vehicle for Ford but it is wildly popular and they will definitely increase the price.

The way I see it by the time they get to my formally late November now early December build they should have figured out how to make less mistakes during assembly.

Do you actually have any sources beyond your own opinion and wild speculation to back up any of that? Do you understand the model year change over occurs in the Spring- not on January 1st? Everything built and ordered until they close the order book will still be MY2022 as verified by my dealer when I asked yesterday.

Just because the stock is up and the vehicle has been well received means nothing related to price bumps until they hit full production and timely deliveries in fulfilling orders.

Prices are going up for MY23 and on.

Not sure whatever else points you're trying to make but not all MY22 orderers are guaranteed a MY22. Just look at Bronco. There are First Edition, day 1 reservation holders who are getting MY22 Badlands.
