After considering “Bob” in a previous post a long time ago, the final name kinda found itself last week when we picked up our new XLT Hybrid.

Upon picking it up, we immediately went to a restaurant where our order number was 42 (the ultimate answer, to life, the universe, and EVERYTHING).

After our 150-mile drive home, I got 42 (point 8) MPG. So, since I always know where my towel is, I put it on the driver’s seat for now. We have neoprene seat covers on order.

Our Mav is therefore called “Ford Prefect.”

(you’re either very lost after reading this and you could use a guidebook, or you know exactly what I mean).

I dont have my truck yet, but it in my ford information as Pluto. I wont know for sure until its here, but I enjoy it being called Pluto right now!

I've named 'em all. There's been Rusty, Thirsty, Rosebud, Charley, ... and the maverick, I'm naming it Astro.

I replied to a post with what I named my Ford Escape. Since it was black and blue, I named it Bruiser. Now that I am getting a cyber orange Maverick I'm trying to get a name for it. I haven't yet found a name. If you name your vehicles, what have you named them and what do you think you want to name your new Maverick?

Some random ideas: Pumpkin, Bus Stop (due to it being the colors of a school bus, almost). Charlie as in Charlie Brown's TV show (Its the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown). So far my favorite and maybe my pick; Pi as in Pumpkin Pie but using the mathematical version.
