For those of you that have or considering the hybrid version of the Maverick ... what other hybrids have you considered?
Was the fact that it was an inexpensive hybrid vehicle the main reason you went with it?
I don't really need a pickup but the price per gallon ratio, so to speak, is the first and foremost reason I am looking at it.

Had an older Gen 2 Toyota Prius and was considering a Chevy Volt before going with the Maverick. Simply put, I wanted a plug=in hybrid with 40-mile + electric only ramge, but there aren’t a lot of choices with that spec. The Maverick’s MPG and price point was too good to pass up, and as the market has exploded it has become a no brainer purchase. Only wish I’d ordered even more of them.

A few years ago I was gonna wait for used Rav4 hybrid prices to drop, then the Mav came out of nowhere, for much cheaper, and I need/would prefer a truck over an suv. Serendipity I suppose.

Never ever thought I would own a hybrid or a EV. Always needed a small truck for odd jobs. So the Mav appeared plus it can be flat towed, meets all my requirements.

Looked at the Crosstrek, the Escapé, gazed on Rome burning down with the Niro…none of them fit my needs as a primary car- really just wanted a wagon with a roof rack (the Audi’s are well outta my range). Got mad I couldn’t buy exactly what I wanted and then the next day pretty much there was a truck that fit what I was after- and I would never have to put camping gear on the roof again. Now if they would just build the damn thing. Been at this since June…didn’t even get a call back until August. Ford hates my money.

Just purchased a hyundai sonata sel hybrid. Nice car. First hybrid for us. Almost 1000 miles averaging 52mpg so far. If the maverick ever arrives we will only have hybrids in the garage

Hadn't considered a hybrid before the Maverick. The Maverick, on paper, checks off 99% of my boxes in my list of wants for a vehicle.

Have been scoping options (due to the wait and a couple of other reasons), the alternates would be the Honda CRV or maybe the Rav4--with E15 gas, I rather go with the Honda. Now if there was a Hybrid Ridgeline . . . you would see my smoke. :)

I was going to buy a 2022 Prius Limited, but I have always wanted a truck. Never needed one, just wanted it, but hated the compromises too much to pull the trigger. They're just too big, too thirsty, too expensive. I hated the Tacoma interior, the Frontier was ancient, and the Tundra and Titan were just so massive. At the point I ordered the Maverick, I had never purchased (and intended to never purchase) a vehicle from a "domestic" automaker. So Nissan and Toyota were the only ones I ever considered.

When I got wind of the Maverick, it was everything I was looking for except for being a Ford. But I can overlook that, I suppose. :ROFLMAO:

I have wanted a hybrid or plug-in for years, but frankly they cost way too much for my budget. I needed but didn't want to drive a truck. We have a small farm property and keep horses. I was finally thinking I had better look at used Rangers, and the Maverick appeared like a gift from a fairy godmother. Driving it isn't very different from driving my old Escape, which is a bonus.
