That would certainly be nice of course, but not realistic anytime soon lol.
To me, any dealer markup on this truck totally negates the positives it has. Namely the low starting msrp and gas savings with the hybrid. If I am asked to pay so much more over msrp the car no longer makes sense.
For those of you that have or considering the hybrid version of the Maverick ... what other hybrids have you considered?
Was the fact that it was an inexpensive hybrid vehicle the main reason you went with it?
I don't really need a pickup but the price per gallon ratio, so to speak, is the...
Norway as probably many of you know has this figured out and their electric sales are through the roof. 9 out 10 cars are not ICE ... almost 80% cars on road are hybrid or electric

There is pretty fast charging already on the Hyunday ioniq 5 ... they claim 18 minutes to 80% ... I am sure there are some variables to that time, but still pretty damn impressive.
For me it's still the charging infrastructure in place for fully considering an electric vehicle. It's so odd...
haha ok mr. sarcasm ... of course they are out there but will there be further investment in the hybrid tech?
For some vehiles like the Maverick it returns big fuel economy gains but in something like the F150 it still only gives you 23pmg tops.
Oh I agree with most of you and this is why I am leaning hybrid also ... gas savings while dipping toes into electric driving without the need to charge.
My question is more about the future of the hybrid technology? Do you think it has a future, as it seems it didn't have much of an uptick...
Was having a chat this weekend with a few family members who are all in the market for cars / trucks in the immediate and near future and mentioned to them that I am wanting to pickup a Hybrid Maverick.
One of them posed an interesting question ... while hybrid tech has been around for quite...
These threads are a good learning experience. I am still in the "want" phase of my purchase and will probably wait until i can get one at MSRP at a dealer or eventually able to order a hybrid for 2023
But one thing I know no matter how I option it ... this is a $20k truck with additional...
I'm not much of a fan of anything slammed or raised but I have to say the Maverick lends itself to look great lowered and kind of gaudy raised ... so I'm digging this.
This is the same thing that happened when the Mini Cooper came out 20 years ago ... was totally targeted at young buyers marketing wise but majority of people that bought it were 40+ at the time.
How is windshield tint even legal to any degree?
This might "look" good but for other drivers on the road they have zero eye contact with you and frankly it's pretty shitty.
Saw this new arrival yesterday in Queens, NYC. XLT with FX4 package.
First impressions are very positive.
Love the stance and size of this pickup in person. Interior fit and finish is much better than the photos led me to believe. Very solid feeling cloth for the seats and youthful airy feeling...
