To date.

Lowest MPG was towing a trailer across the state.

I am nearly at 2,000 miles and thus far my average is slightly above 22 MPG hand-calculated values.

I am not upset or freaking out. I have not had my first oil change yet. My driving has been primarily city-based. Soon, I will be taking my Maverick on a road trip and I am excited to see what my MPG will be. I am not super concerned about MPG. Honestly, if I really cared about MPG I would have gotten the hybrid... I wanted the Ecoboost to zip around and enjoy my daily-driver.

My overall MPG on an XL AWD w/4k tow for 30k+ miles is 29.8 MPG according to the trip counter. This is also with the stock continental tires. I plan to switch them out soon so new tires may improve or decrease the MPG depending the tread and tire size.
I should also add that includes around 30 trips towing at least 2000 lbs and probably just as many with just the bed loaded with 500 or more lbs of stuff. It also includes the majority of the driving done in eco mode. If I didn't use eco mode as much the MPG would probably be at least 1 - 2 MPG lower on the overall.

Do the drive mode mod and add eco mode. That will bump your mpg up to 24 - 25 MPG on city driving.

I'm averaging 27 MPG on my 2023 FX4 with 4K tow. I'm right at 2K on the odometer and starting to use cruise control more often with a 60/40 split between city and highway driving.
Update: after 1 year (15K miles) I’m averaging 26 MPG.

We also average 26 but this Mav AWD with 4k is in some extreme winter conditions and steep inclines in Park City so I am very please with this mpg.

Thank you for the suggestion. I will look into it. I have not had good experiences with ecomode in the past. On my Ridgeline, it was horrendous and did not salvage any significant MPG for me. Same on my wife's CRV. Maybe Ford's is better?

Hey, I just ordered a 2024 Maverick with the 2.0 EcoBoost with AWD and the 4K Tow Package. I did a few months of research on the truck, but I still feel like there are some Grey areas when it comes to the real world MPG. I'm set on this truck, but I was wondering what MPG people were getting with the 2.0L EcoBoost so I have an idea when the truck arrives. I'll be happy to take numbers from people with 2022 and 2023 model years with similar packages. Thank you so much for any information you can provide!!!
27mpg in suburban driving.

This is about a 50/50 split. 2024 Ecoboost Lariat w/ 4k tow. Always premium non-ethanol 91 octaine. Moble 1 5w30 full synthetic. I get 27-28 mpg on the interstate at 85 MPH following with the closest adaptive cruise setting. Maybe the adaptive cruise is bad for MPG. I am probably not in the slip steam and getting turbulence.

Last couple of fill ups I have beat the 25mpg Average hope that is a trend that continues.

Just based on the trip meter in my 1000 miles of ownership thus far it's been 26.9mpg. I live on the edge of a small town so more highway miles than most. Was hanging up closer to 28, then the weather turned quite cold.

And now (12/31) about 25.7, that cold weather really hits hard. Plus I am born and raised in Florida, so there's a lot of letting it warm up haha.

I am basically getting that very same mpg also with a lot of interstate at 80-85 and typical Kansas winds.

on a calm day on 2-lane highway going closer to 70, I have seen 31 mpg. far from common.

4k tow is only 5% gearing change from a normal ecoboost; it shouldn't have that large of an impact.
