Rear wheel well Driver side only. It pulls out (used to fish wires?) I didn't pull it too far just in case. Normal or just not removed at factory?

If you own a hybrid it is probably the emergency release for the fuel door...maybe? Idk, will see if mine has it too...Mine has same green clip and is right below the fuel door....I am pretty sure without getting into the owners manual it is - I do remember reading about a remote release in the manual...Cheers, have a great weekend!!!

That's it!! (E-Release Fuel Door) ..... Not sure I would let this post go public ...... Just think the Pandora's box just opened. ..... Up to you, but I would be pissed if someone used it to drain the fuel tank.

This question has been asked about 1,000,000 times on this forum. Enough times I predicted what the photo would be before I opened the post. So you have nothing to worry about.

Have you seen how difficult it is to siphon newer fuel tanks? Not something the neighbor kid is likely to be successful at. Of course it might depend on where you live.

Why the heck would they put a locking gas door on the hybrid and not on the eco?

The tank is pressurized and when you push the button to open the door the pressure is released and then the door pops open.

That and other reasons are why none of my cars sit outside. We wanted a pickup again and wanted a four door but were not doing that because none of them would fit in our garage ... UNTIL the MAV came along! It fits! Main reason we are getting one.
