I went through my 10th car was with my Mav, and saw this message in the photo. Never seen it before, and it gave me some concern.

any clue if it’s a issue or what it really means?

this was a automated touchless car wash so I was in neutral, with auto hold disabled.

I get the same message when I take mine through one. I wouldn't worry too much, I'm sure the truck can go the 40sec it takes to get through the wash without your battery dying or needing to be recharged.

I got the same thing going through my car wash since the last update. It won't go dead in the two minutes wash cycle so I took note and dismissed it. There was no harm to the truck though it might be hydrophobic, lol. I guess I could have said that it was activating it's self destruct sequence and gotten more laughs, but mine spends enough time malfunctioning already and I don't want to jinx it. In the shop a week now with no light at the end of the tunnel. I'm already shopping for an EV replacement. The Lightning is overpriced and obsolete. Lincoln PHEV high priced and already obsolete. Equinox EV looks promising with dual motors and a $39k price tag right now. My trade is about $30k. I can charge it off of my future solar panels. I'm digging the trench for the panels now. The communists in VA have plenty to sell. The dual motor AWD can tow with a good hitch. It would be nice to commute to work without buying gas.

Was this after a recent OTA update? Do you remember what the update was for? I know I've had a few OTA updates in the last few months for a couple of recalls but last time I went through the wash a few weeks ago I didn't see the message (and never have seen it).

Also sorry to hear about your truck having issues and you wanting to get rid of it. My 25 AWD Hybrid has been solid (knock on wood) other than the annoying 13mph thud (thunk or clunk) I get when slowing down as the the AWD engages for the next acceleration event.

I've not been cataloging updates, but I frequent that car wash weekly and I just saw the message for the first time about two weeks ago. I missed a few car wash dates, lol. I had updates and repairs performed just about two to three weeks ago. It's in the shop for a second time in a month. Add to this I was out of service waiting for a parking sensor wiring harness for four months. The dealer would not reassemble the truck for me to drive staying safety concerns. Bull!

We cant undo updates anyway, so it's best to live with another Mav Hybrid nuisance.

Thanks for the info. I see that I replied to another thread of yours and in it you mentioned a clunk from the rear end. See post #9 in the tread below for my response. I'm curious if the clunk (thud or thunk) you mention is what many of AWD Mav owners experience when slowing down from around 13mph as the AWD engages:

I went through a wash last weekend and didn't get a message. Maybe I haven't gotten the update that triggers it.

If your HVB is approaching 30% SOC or below - where the system would normally start the ICE to charge it back up to 40% - but you are in Neutral where that can't happen.
You get that warning.

Could make a difference if you get that warning from the start of a wash, or near the end, and how long it takes.

What also happens at HVB 30% SOC.
The HV system is stopped from charging the 12V battery.
The HV system stops powering the 12V system.
The 12V battery carries the load of the 12V system.
16 to 20 A draw depending on fans, lights, radios - you can drain that 12V battery pretty fast.
At some point the truck will turn off to protect a very low 12V battery.
Not sure if it throws itself into park as a latch ditch effort, or applies the EPB.
This new warning on pre-25MY has been on the info screen.

Suggest that you ONLY go straight home to park it IF you put a battery charger on it.
Unless you really were doing a long drive after a car wash.
The BMS will be inspired to charge high Amps to recover the 12V battery - but it'll still take an hour.
And that drain impact would be bad for a battery already on the edge of healthy/bad.

It dropped quickly for a 14 A drain, but only 11.7V on the 12V battery anyway - not far to go.
I think 9.5 V or slightly below was reached for the truck warning.
