What did your maverick replace?

I actually wanted to get a Mav when they first came out in 2022 but supply chain issues and price gouging from dealers made it near impossible. Settled on the Crosstrek because I already owned a Subaru and liked the brand.

Nice, I'm a Subaru fan as well but their CVT really drove me away. Not sure about the newer Subaru CVTs but the one my outback is like driving a car with rubber band transmission. The Ford eCVT ( not chain driven) supposed to be much better but I went with the turbo.

My main day to day driver was a 2006 Honda CRV. My 24 XLT is replacing the CRV and a 1999 Mazda B4000 4x4. The CRV is down graded to just my work car and I will get rid of the B4000.

2014 Chevy Volt. I really liked that little hatchback and had planned to keep it for another couple of years but the A/C evaporator sprung a leak and it was going to be an expensive fix that was nearly half the value of the car so I opted to replace it. I wanted to step into another EV but costs and options were a bit of a roadblock so I shopped hybrids instead. The Maverick wasn’t exactly first on my list but I liked how it drove, was happy with the features in the Lariat, and the fiancé was excited about having a truck for home and garden projects so we pulled the trigger.

I'm really on the fence about this one...It's a 2002 with 41,000 original miles. It's been a great truck - and NO RUST! - but my wife is prodding me to sell.

I'd love to keep it but it makes no sense - the Maverick is a lot more comfortable, drives/handles better and gets over double the MPGs,. But the Ranger is such a sweetheart that selling it is going to hurt. Finding 'em this clean is getting harder and harder.

(She's prodding me because we also have an '06 Mustang GT convertible with 20K miles for weekend blasts. Am I being greedy??)

we don't have clean rust free trucks up here. Make sure you get good money for it.

My '25 XLT hybrid has replaced a gorgeous 2013 F150 Supercab 4 WD. F150s have just gotten too tall for me. Sure wish the Maverick had a longer bed, though. F150 is on my front lawn for sale right now. Fingers crossed. I hate doing trade-ins.

Had a 2019 Kia Soul. It was a decent vehicle - good room inside, enough power to drive in the mountains, optioned out nicely, low mileage. But then, the TikTok idiots started posting how to steal Kias and Hyundais that didn't have good anti-theft built-in, and this was one of the models that was getting stolen a lot. My insurance started to go up because of this, and I was always worried that when I went out to dinner, I'd come back to a vacant parking space. So, CarMax gave me a pretty good price to buy outright, and I sold it in February. The next day, I tried to buy a '24 Maverick and that was when l learned about the stop-sale. It took me six weeks, but I finally landed my XL!

2019 Lincoln MKC. GREAT CAR 2.0 twin turbo. Excellent mileage. Lotsa power. great ride. Now great ride!. Greater fuel economy.! Plenty power Sooo quiet. Hybrid. Love it.

What did you drive before the maverick? I replaced a 2016 f250 supercab long bed gas. Just wondering how diversified the maverick community is. Because the maverick can play alot of roles in the automotive world. I see people get out of Priuses , trucks, suvs, minivans. I bought mine because I needed a daily that could haul a boat ,camper small stuff. Superduty was nice when towing the stuff I have didn't even know it was there. But first and foremost I needed a daily driver for a 60 mile round trip. My Maverick has filled that slot perfectly. What's your story?

Lifted and deleted 2017 f250 platty. One badass truck that I hated to get rid of for another truck but love my maverick tremor
