The plastic looks to me like a dashboard. Are you old enough to remember dashboards? They were metal. Hard. Painted. Like my '66 Chevy pick-up. A dashboard.
I do understand that some people like vinyl hard padding with fake stitching to make it look like Chinese knock-off Louis Vitton luggage...
I have a '25 XLT FWD hybrid with the 4-pin connector for the trailer hook-up.
I have a small trailer I typically use for hauling scrap to the recycler. Despite being a small trailer, it has electric brakes.
Can anyone steer me to a site where I can find out how to add electric brake circuitry...
I would welcome a way to protect those headlights and even to keep Joe Coalsmoke from backing up his lifted F250 Powerstroke while parallel parking, and pushing my hood through the inscrutable "entertainment center" screen.
OTOH, getting rid of that dangerous screen seems like a good idea. But...
I’m getting calls from Ford selling me the extended warranty. I’m considering it although my last couple of Ford trucks were pretty good in that regard. But this is full if electronic gadgetry.
which warranty makes sense to buy? I figure 100k or 10 years.
Thoughts?
Please do update in a few weeks/month.
I like how they look but would be afraid they'd come off in the car wash.
(Yep, I use a car wash. I also hired a kid to cut my lawn, but he doesn't wash cars).
;-)
Once again, engineers doing the thinking for the consumer. How lucky we are!
I want to control the stuff in my vehicle myself. I want A/C when I push A/C and fresh air when I push, pull, toggle, or manipulate something that says "ventilation". I don't need some pinhead at Ford making these...
I can't tell much from the spound on that recording, but I can tell you that this is my 3rd hybrid (Honda, Toyota, and now Ford) and I've NEVER had a hybrid that made as many peculiar whirring, buzzing, and weird sounds. What does the Maverick do that Toyotas and Hondas don't do? They all have...
So, it's the "Medium Size" one listed on Amazon?
I like this as I like having a big lockable space behind tinted dark glass to keep tools. I find the "mini-bed" to be fairly useless and hope a 6' bed is in the Maverick line-up future.
BTW Has anyone simply taken out the entire rear seat to open...
Saw this browsing Amazon.
So, this goes under the driver side rear wheel well.
Seems like it would just create a place for mud and crap to get captured and sit up against the sheet metal. And rust.
Am I missing something?
Got my hybrid a while back . Waited for the snow to melt before driving it. Paid MSRP plus options I didn’t want. 100 mile were on the odo. Sellers’ market, I guess. Chelsea. MI — west of Ann Arbor.
