Two-for-One:

1. Sold my 2015 Chrysler 300 to Carvana last August for more than I bought it for 2.5 years before. Great experience with them. So easy. Highly recommend them based on my experience.

2. Sold my 2007 Silverado to a friend for a little discount in exchange for an easy transaction and I knew he was serious and also good for the money.

My Mav is a great replacement for both. Wife still has a very nice GMC Terrain but now wants the new Jeep Grand Cherokee.

My 2018 Chevy Colorado Special 100 year edition Z71 caught fire and exploded while parked in my driveway. Cause undetermined. Also set my house on fire. The Maverick was more than a new truck. It was a therapeutic new beginning.

Thank you. Yeah, it was pretty traumatic. All family got out safely including the dogs. We woke up at 4:30 am to a chorus of smoke alarms and the smothering inferno of a flaming house. Fortunately, the fire was contained and the house is salvageable.

Ford told me $17,500 for my 2020 Corolla, but I just filled out carvana’s online quote system — they offered $21,200. My truck is being built end of Feb so I have some time. Anyone ever used Carvana? They just bring you a check?

I sold my vehicle to a local dealer using kbb’s instant offer as a starting point prior to my truck arriving.

I’ve used Carvana before. Yes, they bring you a check when they pick up the vehicle. No issues.

A deer gave me a better offer than the dealership on my Fusion, unfortunately that offer was several months before my truck is even built.

Sold my 2004 Silverado to my youngest grandson after ordering my Maverick. Bought a 2003 Grand as a temporary ride until I got my Maverick, then sold the Grand Marquis to my oldest grandson. Now I wait on my wife’s Maverick.

One thing to consider is the tax break you get from a trade in to the dealer as opposed to selling third party. If trade in value for your current vehicle is $15k then you'd have to sell it for about $1000 more third party to come out even.

Do people pay taxes when they sell their car to John Smith? I have sold a few used cars over the years and never did. Always ask for cash and meet in a police station parking lot in the daytime so there is no funny business.
