I think the only area Ford should do better with is some sort of broadcast updates tailored to the people waiting. From what I can tell, the biggest gripe everyone has is the lack of the "Amazon effect" {i.e., Alexa, where is my stuff?}.
I agree. My confirmation email clearly states the next email I receive will be when the truck is scheduled for production. So technically, after over 4 months Ford really doesn't owe me any further communication. But people would like to receive something, even if it just says sorry for the delay we haven't forgotten.

You only hear about the extreme negatives from people. There is always bias when people feel they have been duped or screwed over. Rarely will people who have had good pexperiences come on forums and make threads about it
Exactly, you learn that on day 1 in any college marketing class.

Unfortunately supply is having a hard time keeping up with demand. This is effecting more than just vehicles and has been an issue for years. Wether it’s a vehicle, computer component, game console or electronic device. This has been an issue for the past decade with new items on release.
The most unfortunate part is most people are used to getting everything on demand and that’s just not possible currently.

Looking like a lot of perfect people in this thread that don't make any mistakes. Ever.
Big difference between honest mistakes and bald-faced lies or total incompetence.

There are many with multiple orders that don't plan to buy them all though. I guess this would help supply though, just not to the people that ordered one.

People aren’t buying 7-8 mavericks at a time.

this isn’t the same as you buying 7 years worth of tp then the shelves being restocked a few weeks later.
You're right it's like dealing with hundreds of suppliers trying to deliver products that are many times more complex than Charmin, and ALL the suppliers have to perform on time or you have a delay.

The only reason I'm getting a Maverick is so that I can haul large quantities of toilet paper 😜

A big part of the problems, besides the pandemic is JIT, Just in time manufacturing It works great when the machine is oiled and running fine. No excess overhead, no obsolete parts piling up., not money tied up in stocks that won't be used for weeks or months. Until there is a bump in the road and they have no cushion. It seems they are all doing and it's brilliant when it works and is a disaster when it doesn't.

Researched—researched, and then RESEARCHED some more. Determined what was being built without constraint and how it fit with what I wanted. I found a dealer that had not ordered their allotment. Then, ordered mine on Oct. 6, picked it up at the dealer Nov. 10 about 10 days ahead of scheduled ETA. Paid MSRP and my 2 1/2 year old trade was worth more than I originally paid. Ford financing good at reasonable rates. Easiest new car or truck I've ever purchased and the quality is as good as much more expensive vehicles like a Ram Laramie, Ford F-150 King Ranch, or GMC Sonoma ZRX (which I loved).

Is the truck perfect? No, it's not, but the minor issues for a first run vehicle are just not worth complaining about. Understanding the situation and working within the constraints on ordering a vehicle takes a lot of issues away. Good job Ford.

Exactly. Dry your eyes, blow your nose, change your panties and sit down.
The real problem is the FITS system. Ford doesn’t have enough of those little goodie bags for every Hybrid order. Major constraint. (LOL)
