USB flash drive/ music issue

I've seen other threads on this, but none seem to mimic the issue I'm having.

Inserted a flash drive I've used for years in other vehicles to play music. Said "incompatible or corrupted files." Formatted it on my computer, erased all files, then ripped and synced an album to it. Same issue. Plugged the flash drive into my laptop, and music works fine. All tracks are MP3 files. Any suggestions?

Check the user manual. Maybe it has something on supported file type? Half the book appears to be infotainment lol.

Which format? From the manual:

The system supports the following file formats:

• exFAT, FAT, FAT32 and NTFS file systems

Apparently, the problem is with the flash drive itself. I found a couple other old flash drives with music on them, and they work fine. Strange how this one still reads as "corrupted" in the truck, yet works fine on my laptop. FYI, I used both FAT and exFAT when re-formatting.

I have a Polaris Slingshot. It came with a branded flash drive. Will NOT play anything on it, in fact, it kills all audio when plugged in. I found an old Cruze flash, and it works fine in the Slingshot.
Amazing how the car companies have yet to figure out USB and Bluetooth. Actually, NO ONE has figured out Bluetooth. Like nailing jelly to a tree.
