The agm has more capacity plus can use that capacity to a lower SOC. It may provide 3+ more Amps than a flooded battery. Agm lasting 1/2 it's Max life will beat poo out of flooded lasting 1/2 (or whatever their %'s are).

Update: I got the truck back today and the charge only dropped 5 percent in 24 hours being out in the cold getting snowed on at the dealership so good news. I note they only had the battery at 83% charge when they put it in not at 100% like recommended on this forum. The one surprise was that after all the back and forth when I popped open the battery cover they had replaced with an AGM! They told me not to charge it manually and to just drive it around. So far so good. I bought a portable booster to keep in the back in case it is needed.Whoever told you that at the dealership is a.
You can replace the battery with an AGM one from the Internet, Costco, Sam's Club or Walmart...ETC and NOT affect the warranty.

Were you planning on installing the battery yourself ?
When the time comes to replace my battery. I plan on going with the much more expensive $189 H4 AGM Battery from Walmart that has a 4-year replacement warranty.

Yes it does. It just takes longer to sulfate with an AGM

They can see the SOC on their computer under my VIN.
I am charging to 100% and then doing another BMS reset tonight myself and then leaving alone locked for 10 hours.
Well I fully charged the battery and did a BMS reset and let it sit for 10 hours with doors locked. Worked great yesterday. Woke up this morning to a deep sleep mode message. I'll go see if it starts when I leave for work. Ugh. Ford needs to fix this! Guess I may be testing out my new battery booster this am.
Did you ever find a fix for this??I dropped off Maverick off Thursday morning at the dealer. They told me later that the NAPA AGM battery that they replaced a year ago was charged at 30%. They will charge battery, then run the SSM 53801 procedure, but want to keep the truck overnight to have a test drive in the morning. The NAPA battery was good, and Thursday evening Ford App worked, and showed truck's location at dealer's parking lot. At 7:30 AM Friday, before they opened, App showed the low battery message again. This proved that the "air conditioning control module (ACCM) software update" was unnecessary, and did not fix the drain issue. Their drive test didn't help either, right after the drive the App message was still asking to "Drive to reconnect vehicle", no amount of driving ever fixed such message, so I am stuck again, and dealer has no solution at hand. Sort of amazing that since Ford released the first Ford Maverick they are still unable to fix the 12V battery issue. I guess they are waiting for a class action lawsuit, since the new truck buyers are kept in the dark about the problem, and Ford removed the low battery warning light from the dashboard as not to alert to the issue.
I would guess that your 12v has either a bad cell or is highly sulfated and has very little Reserve Capacity so voltage drops rapidly. When I had to put my noco on my 12v every 2nd/3rd day ford ran the overnight battery test and replaced the battery due to "bad cell". The quick check of battery showed battery good but needed charging.
Ford just put in a new AGM three days ago.
It is cold up here in Canada but still it's in a garage.....

Of note the truck did start. I did put a winter tire package on a few weeks ago with no tpms sensors so it gives an error message and interestingly 48 hours after that was when I started getting the dead battery issue. Wonder if that error message is somehow causing an ongoing glitch and drain. Maybe I should pull fuse 11?

How much do you think it would cost to put aftermarket TPMS sensors on your snow tires? Do you think it would be worth it in the long run?
Hi Glen I checked my tire pressure every 2 weeks and top it up as needed so that's why I've never really needed sensors on any of my previous winter tires. Of course if I knew it was going to cause a problem in the Maverick I would have put them on. No problem. Up here in Canada they cost about $200 for a set of four. If I were to put them on now, I would probably cost me about $300 because they would have to possibly re-bead my tires when they put the sensors on. I would certainly consider this if I thought it might help my problem.

Probably not reason for the low battery.
For me, I would be more aggravated having the low pressure tire light on all the time.
I hate the presence of a constant warning light.
Especially living where it's almost a necessity to have snow tires on for majority of the winter.
The $300 cost would be a one-time charge spread out over how many years??

In hindsight, should have just put the sensors on. The light doesn't bother me as it doesn't flash lol. I have pulled fuse 11/12 and am recharging the battery. I leave for a 7 day vacation tomorrow and so the truck will be parked at the airport for a week. I am doomed lol. Did you pull the same fuse and any problems as a result? Some people said this stopped their drain issues.
