My dealer reset and reprogrammed all of the modules in the truck one by one and that fixed my drain problem. The initial AGM replacement fix didn't even work for a day. Neither did the ACCM update.
Clutch in Canada offers great prices for the hybrid here it's in demand. Even though my battery issue is solved for now I would still keep it even if it wasn't as I can charge the battery occasionally manually no big deal. I also bought a portable booster just in case. The truck otherwise is...
Probably for reliability the ecoboost is the way to go esp if you don't drive much. I drive a fair bit so I'm saving a lot on gas. If your commute is really short, you could always fully charge the battery with a trickle charger once a week.
It is fixable but a challenge and requires about three trips to a good dealer. They have to go step by step even though they know it won't be fixed until the final step. It is a little bit frustrating but with a lot of persistence mine is now fixed. Maybe it will be good for another couple...
That was probably a good move. The hybrids are excellent. When they're working. I will have no idea whether my problem resurfaces again or not. Next time I may even decide to go for the EcoBoost and just pay the extra gas for reliability. Here in Canada. They don't tend to buy back the cars. We...
I had total drain issues to point of dead battery for two months. Took into dealer and got a new AGM battery and ACCM updates. Still drained. Finally they reset and updated software on every module one by one. Still draining. Then I fully manually charged my AGM battery and let the car sit...
Well after dealer reset and updated the software on every module in the car one by one my parasitic drain this far seems to be gone. Let's hope that continues!
Well the dealer just updated the software and reset all the modules two days ago in attempt to solve the drain issue which they can't find as it is intermittent. So far the car has been sitting for two days and no weak battery signal yet. Fingers crossed....I will update in a couple weeks...
Wait another year and your battery will start to drain dead within a day or two. These hybrids have problems with parasitic drains that Ford can't fix this far. Their updates and AGMs don't work. I have done all that and problem remains
. If they can't fix in next six months it's goodbye...
