I would also love to know if anyone has tried replacing the Ford OEM charger than comes on the Lariat with this and if it performs any better. The one in my lariat really heats up the phone. Wish I could figure out a way to out in an actual mag safe charger other than simply laying one in the console like another poster mentioned.

The one in this build is pretty decent. It did heat up my phone pretty quickly, but that is mostly a side effect of wireless charging. On my phone (Galaxy flip 5) there is a toggle to turn off "fast wireless charging". Granted it obviously doesn't charge as quickly, but it definitely keeps my phone cooler.

What do you mean by mod your seat position? I'm looking to lower my XLT manual seat lower than is currently possible. Is that what you mean?

Has anyone had any issues with battery drain after installing this mod? I did mine last about 4 days ago and came out this morning to a dead battery. I installed per the video using fuse tap 3 location. It could be unrelated as my truck is now 2 years old but don't like the coincident. The USB adapter I'm using has a blue light when it is on and thought I was okay since the light on the device does cut off when the ignition is off. The mod works great but now I"m concerned about battery drain.

This is not a good charger for the Maverick. At least with my Samsung S25 Ultra. It gets way too hot almost immediately and stops charging. Returned.

Any wireless charger that isn't semiconductor cooled and cooled with an additional fan is going to be hot. I found some on AliExpress like $18 shipped that deliver 15w and keep the phone fairly cool.

I did this mod and it works exactly as shown. I'm really not good with electronics but this worked for me.

I did make an error on my first try and swapped the black and white wires. The magic smoke got out and I had to buy a new charger. Additionally, I tried it without the USB adapter. It did not work. Once I added the USB plug as shown in the video, everything worked perfectly.

My son has this same XLT Hybrid as I have so I made one for him too. Christmas shopping has begun.
