Nope, not falling for that!
Nobody is data mining me today
:XD
I found through my research that Maverick owners have more in common than we ever dreamed! Like for instance, many of us have the same mother's maiden name and last four digits to their SSN.

What're yours?

Thanks for finding that, Glen. It's not exactly scientific, but it shows only 31% of the people polled were under 40. Ford missed the demographic by a mile and doubled down with the redesign of the front end and elimination of the physical knobs. I think it was supposed to appeal to the younger generations. Maybe it does, but the older folks aren't such big fans, it seems to me. Farley needs to become a MTC member. I bet he could learn a few things. 😬

I'm sure the F-150, F250, F350, Mustang, eMach...etc all feel Farley should be a member of their forums too.

If millennials were the Mav's target, Ford had a happy accident by attracting Boomers, the largest market with the most money. Many of us old folks dearly appreciate the ease of loading/unloading stuff from a small truck as well as the ease if entry/exit. I loved driving my F-150 Lariat, but I was ready for something more practical for my aging joints.

I'm 78 and bought my 2024 Hybrid a little over a year ago. I have driven full-size pickups for years - Silverado, Ram 2500, but recently a string of F-150s. I trade every 2-3 years. I drove a Maverick at the dealership just for giggles and was astounded at how well it fit me. I dragged momma back to see what she thought - ended up driving it home. I have 16,000 on it now and no issues. We run back and forth from FL to NC about once a month - love the mileage . My tow limit is 2000 and that is my only complaint. I realize I can double that at my next trade-in though. Still, a full-size is also nice - we'll see. I've looked at Broncos and Rangers - nah... If you want a little truck get a Maverik, if you want a big truck get an F-150 - the rest are half-ass compromises and don't really have a sweet spot - IMHO of course.

As a gen Z, I can say people my age are having other priorities such as just affording rent, so a new car, even financed with zero down isn't on people's list of needs. If they are looking it's generally something in the low 20k mark like most budget friendly sedans, or the complete opposite side of the spectrum with a 80k German performance car. Nearly everyone I know owns 30 year old jeeps or VWs under $5k.

I work in automotive, and am around classics daily but new cars regularly enough and seeing a Hybrid small pickup, coming previously from an s10, was exactly what I was wanting. When I was 15 I had a 66 c20 as a project and had dreamt of converting it to a hybrid by somehow installing an electric motor after the driveshaft to have a selectable ev mode. nothing came of that but seeing something close enough put into production, I fell in love.

I don't own it anymore, but hopefully my 25 order will be built in the next couple months. Currently getting 10mpg in my other car which costs add up fast

I spent many months researching to go from a full size Silverado, prior had a F-150, to a small or mid-sized truck. Ruled out Toyota ans Nissan immediately because the ride and ingress is just as bad as what I had. Narrowed down to Ridgeline (never really card for Honda although being in a couple of their plants before and impressed) and Maverick. Many of the reviews and articles I read said Ford picked the name Maverick not as a nod to the old car but to the target customer demographic. They were targeting the 25 to 35 young environmentally conscious urban or suburban dwellers. I think the buyers are much older. I personally am 66 and the first time I saw one I thought "a 4 door Ranchero finally." Just curious if I am correct in my thinking but most of the drivers I have seen are at least over 40.
THOUGHTS?

Based on observation, the Mav drivers I see are not the 30-somethings Ford used in promotional ads when the Mav was introduced. They are twice that age.

I imagine there are a lot of younger Maverick owners out there that don't use a forum like this one. Your audience here is likely 40+. I'm almost 50 myself, have a 25 Maverick Hybrid Lariat after owning a V8 F150 for about 9 years. I never used the F150 for its full "truck" capabilities, so the Maverick seemed like a good option. Also the price of the F150 was kind of insane. I had a 2015 F150 Lariat FX4 that was about $46k new and the 25 F150 Lariat FX4 was around $68k.

44yo and I grew up driving my dad's 1994 Ford Ranger and my stepdad's 1992 Ford Ranger. I never need a full size truck for anything and the Colorado and Ranger have gotten so bloated they are Early 2000s F150 size. The bed reach over height is ridiculous on those. Ive been daily driving my 2022 Bronco Badlands 2dr the last 3yrs and the 16.5mpg finally got to me this year driving to MO. I was tired of filling up every 280mi cause of the tiny gas tank. The Mav hybrid fit the bill perfectly

I am a 22 year old stuck in a 74 year old body. Have loved cars & trucks all my life. Currently have 2 EVs, a BMW i5 M60 & a 22 Rivian R1T. The Rivian is going to our son. Bought our 24 Maverick Lariat Hybrid for my wife to drive, as she likes riding in the BMW, but not driving it & would never drive the Rivian. Into performance all my life, love the rush of speed, but also get a kick out of how many miles this little truck can go on a full tank. Would love to see a Maverick EV, would be fun to drive and would be really quick!

Oh,and I'm a 22/F yoga instructor with a moderately successful OnlyFans channel.
I'm an 18 year old capital venturist.

I think they hit the demographic without realizing it would happen. Many buyers because they can't afford a full size truck. Many are buying that have full size trucks and are looking for a low mpg suv or electric but don't really want to drive a car. This is an SUV in a really good truck skin, a curiosity It is no longer the cheap little trucklett. Once Ford found high demand they jacked up the price and added more options.
We will never see the day of a cheep reliable everyday vehicle in the US. This does serve a great purpose but I still love my full size.

Was 69 when I ordered my '23 XL. Took delivery at age 70. 71 now and I think the Maverick may be my last vehicle purchase. Unless some idiot staring at a screen rear-ends and totals it.
So far, 23k miles and trouble-free, except for a dash rattle. I did take it to the dealer for some of the software updates to address things that never affected my truck.
