I’ve got my fluids sitting here waiting...just trying to find time.

Honest, if you figure retail prices for all those oem fluids…$800.00 isn’t the worst I’ve heard of. Now a day, if you can get out of a dealer service department with non-warranty work for under a grand…you’re probably doing ok.

That being said, +1 on the Drain and fill vs. the flush. There’s a reason their know in the back as “wallet flushes.” That should save a bunch on atf at least. I would imagine that, if you don’t want to/cant diy, there isn’t a local independent garage that could beat that price from the dealer. As mentioned, it’s a simple service, with the transmission being the only really involved operation, since you’ve got to check fill level engine running at temperature.

These services aren't due at 40k, unless your vehicle has been subjected to severe service. Sounds like your dealer is scamming you. We just had our 5k oil change at 44 k and dealer said nothing about this.
Most vehicles fall under severe service and you should change the fluids out at 30k.

Do not do a trans flush only a drain and fill. It will ruin your transmission.
I hope you or someone can tell me what I need to do before my 3 year warranty expires. I have a 2023 Maverick XLT Hybrid with 6500 miles no major issues, 2 oil changes & 2 battery exchanges. Should I/can I, ask for entire truck examination before then?? I'm not mechanically capable Carple tunnel in both hands. My warranty runs out in October. Sorry so long. Tim

I can't thing of a single thing you need to do!
You're in great shape on engine oil changes and that's all you need for now.
I have 5.5K on my 2025 hybrid and I plan to change the PTU and RDU fluids at about 6K miles.
I intend also to top-off the eCVT fluid level at
6K also - due to numerous reports of it being low from the factory! I'll then change eCVT fluid at 10-15K miles.
IMO, Doing the initial fluid changes early is cheap insurance!
If you continue to put 2-3K miles on your truck annually, you are good to go till next year (in my book)!
PS,
Be sure to have all updates and recalls taken care of while still under warranty!
Good luck!

Here is a pic of the filter in our 8F35 transmissions. Requires removal of transmission and then disassembly to replace. Going to drain & fill my transmission fluid DIY often since that filter has to last a lifetime!

That's retarded. Diy, they're all so easy. Probably can do all 3 in a hour taking your time. When I did my draining fill on the transmission it cost me $40 for the fluid and maybe took 30 minutes taking my sweet time.

I did it at 23k miles and plan on doing it again every 20-25k miles I mean it's so cheap and easy it's worth doing.

It will take me 30 minutes just to jack my truck & remove the the 15 cover screws:)

Is there a trick to the refill? I hear the 4-5 quarts pour in really slow.

Including breaks - I plan on a 3 hour DIY job. I pay myself by the hour so no need for me to rush. Paid breaks too. I’m a great boss!

Honestly, I wish I still had the ability to get under my truck and do this kind of maintenance. If I had access to a lift, sure. Breaks my heart to see chests of tools accumulated over the years not get used.
