I’m driving to work and I hear a strange noise and now my tranny will not shift out of first, no matter what gear I select, meaning N or D or low, and now it won’t shift back to Park. At time it would not even move.
I have almost 170k and it’s been mostly trouble free. Anybody else having this problem? Does anybody have a transmission for sale?

170,000 miles. Now that's impressive!

There have been a few transmission failures reported with ecoboosts here on MTC. Daniel Deliverz on YouTube had his replaced at 60,000 miles, and he documented it with videos. About a replacement - I would think the used parts market would have plenty. That's because of the number of totaled Mavericks reported here on MTC - many with minor rear end collisions.

A Google search will show you many places to find these. Here's one pulled at random.

I am also curious if the transmission fluid has ever been changed?

Kilometers are abbreviated "km" so that threw me off. Still, 105,000 miles on the tranny is pretty good. As are others, I too am curious as to whether the auto trans fluid was changed at any point.

170K is short for 170,000.....unless the OP is in Canada

Unless the OP's in Canada, I would assume the k is for kilo or thousand. Since WV is his home, I would guess 170,000 miles.

I respectfully disagree, 105k miles is not alot. I fully expect any new car to get very close to 200k miles before any major component/powertrain failure.- with proper maintenance of course!
Yeah, we really need to know what the tranny fluid service interval is and whether it was performed, also was there a lot of towing/heavy use?

Yeesh! I had a tranny go on my 2002 Toyota tundra at 130k miles in 2011, I was extremely disappointed in Toyota for that. I have a general M policy NOT to keep any vehicle that is over 8yrs old/150k miles, but I was not using the truck much BC I also had a Honda Fit, giving me 30+ mpg. I went against my own policy and regretted it. Fortunately, the power of Ebay, I had a 2004 tranny (hardened in 2003.5) shipped to me with the transfer case for $750, so that kinda worked out for me...

Or maybe they're just super surprised that their truck has driven 170 kilometers mostly trouble free.

Y'all are showing me which of you started celebrating 4/20 Day early.
