The weak point on the 2.0 is the 8 speed trans. I will assume most is highway driving to get that many mile so quickly. So not very good even if they didn't change the trans fluid. If it was not highway miles then that would be okay. See if OP posts again.

That's not OP. That's someone from Georgia thinking that someone in West Virginia uses the metric system when referring to distance.

I’m driving to work and I hear a strange noise and now my tranny will not shift out of first, no matter what gear I select, meaning N or D or low, and now it won’t shift back to Park. At time it would not even move.
I have almost 170k and it’s been mostly trouble free. Anybody else having this problem? Does anybody have a transmission for sale?

Yes it’s 168,000 miles not Km, you know it’s least miles I have had on a vehicle with something going out, all my other cars or trucks have had 300 plus. However I always drive Toys and Honda. I had the fluid checked awhile back. It was fine on level, but the clearance for those are so close. If they go a little low, that’s it, Im disappointed. Thanks for the replies for they who want to help, others just want to make comments about what I should have done, those are generally unhelpful. But thanks for the advice on where to find a tranny.
I’ll try to keep you posted if I find any solutions.

Not a lot of interstate, just always running, my mom has Parkinson’s and I’m always between her home and work which is 80 miles a day, plus all her running to take her and my family’s things. Central wv nothing is close. That’s why EV would never really work here.

Would a WBA’s filter or a low fluid cause any of this? I feel like chances are slim?

Those salvage yards will almost always come down on their listed price for a part. I usually get 10% off just asking. Good luck!
