in snow, without traction control, a AWD or even a 4WD without lockers would have one wheel in the front and one in the rear spinning wildly and you'd be going nowhere.

And the square root of 342?

That's not how traction control works...
Yeah I think there is two things here at play - first it doesn't sound like OPs traction control is functioning properly (possibly due to Forscan) and then two - OP might have unrealistic expectations of what turning off traction control actually does.

From the experts
(Which I am not 😀)

It will hamper your ability at a quick launch and when shifting gears. You want to spin the tires a little off the line, and when shifting fast the tires will chrip. TC will reduce engine power in these scenarios and slow you down.

+/- ?

+ is correct
- is incorrect
😉
Great = I left it open for those who wanted to verify if the 9 was the result of rounding up or not! FYI= I have not bothered to check to verify your response.

Late butt in here, but even if you disable traction control and floor it and have constant wheelspin, stability system will automatically re-engage the traction control system and cut throttle

Does not makes sense. Only an fx4 has those modes. Unless it was altered using forescan. Maybe someone messed up?
This is the danger of reprogramming you trucks computer with non factory settings.
It is great we have the option to reprogram. But like all aftermarket modifications down sides are always there.

Really this post is in the wrong form. This is a forscan question so you would be more likely to get an answer if it was posted in the modifications form.

I have seen this problem mentioned before but it was on a different site on the internet more aimed at forscan and reprogramming. It was about a year ago so this is not new. They posted what settings in forscan needed to be changed to not have this happen when you reprogram with forscan. I have not used forscan and I don't really understand it. They had a list of things to adjust and a list to not adjust. All in the form of code and acronyms that didn't make sense to me due to I just don't know what they mean. But the good news is this is a problem that forscan has had before and there is an answer.

I'd be to afraid to make any changes. I have ran it on an F 150 but did not change anything. To afraid to mess something up.

I believe you can turn that off by disabling auto braking in the settings menu.

At least that's what the manual says.
