  1. Windshield wiper motor recall - done

What is the wiper motor recall? I have not received anything on that for my 2024.
  2. Warranties are running out on the '22's... extended warranty?

I just received a notice about my extended warranty that is about to end soon. I purchased the truck in December of 2023 at my dealership and paid in full for it. The vehicle has a production date of November 2023. I bought the Ford extended warranty because of how I drive vehicles and this is...
  3. Back up camera - recall

I still cannot believe the seriousness of the rear camera recall. Remember when we taught people to use the mirrors to back up. Now they can't do it unless their camera is working
  4. 8 speed transmission

Mine does this as well, but only driving in Eco mode, which I think is a pointless option for a turbocharged vehicle.
  5. CV Axle Replacement on 2023 Maverick XL EcoBoost @34k Miles

Real quick question, sorry that it is kind of late. Why do you say your Maverick is bone stock when it is clearly lowered on coilovers and your forum posts are in a lot of aftermarket suspension posts. Not accusing or anything.
  6. Maverick rolls backwards when shifting into 'Park'

Pretty much every vehicle with an automatic transmission does this. If you are on a slight incline, that rolling back is the transmission hitting the park gear (or however you would explain it). The only vehicles that don't do this, one example would be the newer Ford Explorers because of a...
  7. California carb compliant cold air intakes (CAI) ?

Correct me if I am wrong, but in California, isn't it 100% illegal to modify any part of your vehicle, especially anything that would interfere with fuel and emissions. Also, pretty sure K&N cold air intake kits are 50 state legal and CARB certified.
  8. my 93 octane fuel costs $2.45/gal

Am I the only one with a 2024 EB that is not built for use with E85 fuels? My capless filler area has the circle with the line through E85 and the manual says E85 cannot be used on it.
  9. Focus 2.0 is NOT the same engine as the Ecoboost 2.0

I know this is late but let me air in here for a moment. One, Ford and Mazda had a collaboration on the 2.0L and the 2.3L motors in both Mazda and Ford vehicles for a period of time. Two. I had a 2012 Focus SEL Hatchback with that dual clutch transmission. I got 335,000 miles out of the...
  10. Direct Injection Noise, Sewing Machine Syndrome

I took the tube off the wastegate and now I just concentrate on that fun sound
  11. Metallic Sound when turning ignition off?

Pretty sure it is the active grille shutters closing. It does it on every shut down on mine. The shutters close on the grille so the engine stays warm and warms up faster
  12. MPG in 6 degrees....

I know this probably doesn't really help you out since I have the EB model, but here in Wisconsin, I am averaging 14.2 MPG with the idling and constant defog enabled.
  13. Factory Continental Tires Already Worn?

I run the standard 35 psi, but when the tires heat up, that pressure is probably around 39 to 40 psi
  14. Rolled over 10k miles! Fuel Injector Cleaner Question

I know the EB Mav is direct injected, I don't know if the Hybrid is FI or DI, but if it is DI, then injector cleaner doesn't do anything. To be honest, people still put HEET in fuel tanks so they don't freeze when it gets cold out. Modern gasoline stations have electronic computers that won't...
  15. Do not overfill or top off while filling gas tank

I used to work at a gas station lol. I miss the smell lol
  16. Factory Continental Tires Already Worn?

I never knew that. The Mav is the first vehicle that wasn't bought for me by parents or given to me. This is my first ever brand new vehicle purchase. Again though, I haven't even broken 5k miles and the tires are worn past 50 percent
  17. 2000 watt Hybrid inverter as generator

Not sure if this matters to anyone here but my brother has an F150 PowerBoost and he uses the built in inverter to power his home (furnace, well pump, wifi, fridge and freezers, etc) and it works flawlessly. But what I have noticed is a 2000 watt inverter can power a lot of equipment, but if...
  18. Factory Continental Tires Already Worn?

Dealership recommended I look into purchasing new tires for my 2024 XLT EB. I have 4561 miles on the truck and they informed me that the tires have over 65% wear. I noticed the rapid wearing of the tire myself, but I have never used Continental tires before as I am a Firestone tire type of guy...
  19. Uneven/Abrupt Acceleration and Throttle Response

Sorry if I am late to the response party, but recently I had my truck at the dealer for a recall and they futzed with the airbox and left one of the clamps undone (the back one). I noticed that I could hear the turbo much better and that was what told me the clamp was undone. When the airbox is...
