I guess as I get older, I get weaker and don't have the strength to push the plugging tool into the puncture anymore.
Been having a slow leak so I decided to tackle it today. The culprit was my old plug job. I used rubber cement this time.
Anyway, I used a ratcheting strap to push the tool in.

By the way, still on my original Contis at 79k miles. Gonna need a new set soon.

You got your moneys worth out of those tires. I had a set of Wranglers on my 2011 Ranger that belts separated after 30000 miles . I had to relace all 4 tires , of course it happened 200 miles from home and I wasn't taking a chance on another one blowing. Goodyear tires are not what they used to be. The sad part is that I was ordering a Maverick and didn't want to put any money into the Ranger.,But I did get a years use out of the new tires before my Maverick was built.

That's one creative way to do it!
With that many miles on those OEMs, I think I would be looking at a new set o' tires soon - like very soon.

Goodyears are some of worst offenders for shifting belts like that in my experience so I don't even entertain ordering them anymore. Firestone Transforce HTs probably a second, but they often get pretty old in my work fleet so at least have an excuse.

I'll never use Good Years again. I was lucky to have
Just exited the turnpike and was at a stoplight when it happened, no low tire pressure warning on the dash it just went flat suddenly, so it could have been alot worse.

Are you new around here @BoboysTruck ? Haven't you heard that those Contis are crap, they won't last 10k miles, gotta change them out for something better, etc.?

Pretty clever use of the strap. (y)
